This video was created for the Town of Drayton Valley to promote the experience of living there, the sites, and amenities offered by the commnunity.
5 Things in Waterton Lakes National Park for First Timers
I list off 5 things to experience in Waterton if it's your first time going to the park. These must-see places include: The Bear's Hump hike, which is a steep climb that offers some of the best views in the park.
Red Rock Canyon, which is a canyon with red coloured red due to the high iron in the rock.
Cameron Falls, which is a large and impressive waterfall located in the town site.
Exploring the town site itself can prove to be a neat adventure, make sure you eat at some of the local restaurants (my personal favorites are Pizza of Waterton and the Big Scoop.
Last is Cameron Lake, a short drive from the town that offers incredible views and a chance to do the short hike to Akamina Lake.
I use the following equipment to make videos:
A Panasonic G7 at 4K/30fps, a GoPro Hero 4, and a DJI Phantom 3 4K.
Stabilized using a Glidecam XR1000, with camera mounted to a Manfrotto quick release plate
Audio Recorded Using a Rode Video Mic with Rycote Lyre Suspension System
Tripod used is a Manfrotto with a fluid head

Exploring the Trans Alta Road in 4K | Journey Alberta
My friend Jesse and I explore the Trans Alta Road near Waiporous. We head far down it to have a fire and roast up some hot dogs. We check out some spots that seem like they would be excellent for camping later this year. We head all the way to the end of the road and down into the river bed, where we drive up to a huge rock face that might make a good camping spot if it's not windy.

Banff National Park Lakes Day Trip (4K) | Journey Alberta
I travel out to the Lake Louise area in Banff National Park with my Mom, my sister, and my Mom's boyfriend. There we explore Moraine Lake, do the 0.3 km hike to the Moraine Lake Lookout, and do the hike to the Consolation Lakes. After that we head to the Chateau Lake Louise and check out the Lake Louise there. It's a great place to visit if you're in the area, and remember that annual national park passes purchased in 2016 are good for 2 YEARS instead of 1!!

Mt. Lorette Ponds Kananaskis Day Trip | Journey Alberta
I head out to the Bow Valley Provincial Park section of Kananaskis for a day trip to Mt. Lorette Ponds with my girlfriend. While there we start a fire and cook up some food like hot dogs and marshmallows. Luckily by this point the snow has receded a lot, so walking on the pathways is easier for my girlfriend and her broken ankle. We take a walk after eating by the ponds and admire the beautiful scenery of Kananaskis.

Kananaskis Peter Lougheed Provincial Park Camping (4K) | Journey Alberta
Today I go camping for a night in the Peter Lougheed Provincial Park section of Kananaskis Country! I camp with my Mom and her boyfriend Ken at the Boulton Creek Campground at site D-120/D-121. On our first day it rained a lot so we spent some time at the visitor center in the park, exploring the building. When the rain stopped, we headed to the North Interlakes Day Use area to do a short hike by the shore of the Upper Kananaskis Lake. Our second day takes us to the Elbow Sheep Wildland where we do the hike to the Rae Glacier! It takes us past the backcountry campground at Elbow Lake, and then up towards the glacier for an amazing hike.

Grassi Lakes Hike in Canmore | Journey Alberta
I do the Grassi Lakes Hike in Canmore, Kananaskis, with my friend Jesse! The hike is approximately 4 kilometers round trip with only a couple hundred meters of elevation gain. After a couple hundred meters the trail splits off into an easy section or a more difficult section. We opt to do the more difficult section on the way up so we can see the waterfalls and the great views of the Bow Valley and Canmore. Although it did snow on this day it was still a great hike up to see the turquoise coloured lakes!

Spring in Nose Hill Park 2016, Calgary (4K) | Journey Alberta
I explore the south eastern part of Nose Hill Park during the spring season of 2016. Once there I headed into a forested area, and made my way to the top of the hill where there was a small body of water. Although the water is no longer there, there was still much to be seen in the park, including a great view of downtown Calgary.
