Redcliff is a town in southern Alberta, Canada within Cypress County. Bordering the City of Medicine Hat to the south and east, the town is bisected by Highway 1 and is located on the north bank of the South Saskatchewan River. Situated at a high elevation relative to the surrounding landscape, the Town of Redcliff offers views of the South Saskatchewan River valley, the City of Medicine Hat, and Cypress Hills. The cliffs that overlook the river valley resemble badland formations.

Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park is an interprovincial park straddling the southern Alberta-Saskatchewan boundary, located southeast of Medicine Hat. It is Canada's first and only interprovincial park. The park consists of two protected areas, the 345 km2 west block, that straddles the Alberta/Saskatchewan boundary between Alberta Highway 41, the townsite of Elkwater, Saskatchewan Highway 615, Saskatchewan Highway 271 and Fort Walsh, and the centre block, an additional area of 58 km2 in Saskatchewan, west of Saskatchewan Highway 21.

Fort Walsh is a National Historic Site of Canada that was a North-West Mounted Police fort and the site of the Cypress Hills Massacre. Administered by Parks Canada, it forms a constituent part of Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park. The fort was built in June 1875, and was named for its builder, inspector James Morrow Walsh. The fort was intended to curb the illegal whiskey trade, protect Canada's nearby border with the United States, and aid with native policy. These factors had been brought to public attention following the Cypress Hills Massacre of 1873, and resulted in Sir John A. Macdonald's establishment of the North-West Mounted Police. Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park is located about 100 kilometres southeast of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, or 44 kilometres east of the community of Milk River, and straddles the Milk River itself. It is one of the largest areas of protected prairie in the Alberta park system, and serves as both a nature preserve and protection for a large number of aboriginal rock carvings and paintings. The park is important and sacred to the Blackfoot and many other aboriginal tribes. The park has been nominated by Parks Canada and the Government of Canada as a World Heritage Site. Its UNESCO application was filed under the name Áísínai'pi which is Niitsítapi meaning it is pictured / written. The provincial park is synonymous with the Áísínai'pi National Historic Site of Canada.

The Brooks Aqueduct is a defunct aqueduct originally built by the irrigation division of the Canadian Pacific Railway Company during the 1910s. It was intended to irrigate a section of southeastern Alberta. The aqueduct stands approximately 8 kilometres south of Brooks, Alberta, Canada. The main section of the aqueduct spans a 3.2 km valley at an average elevation of 20 metres. The structure is a National Historic Site, and there is an interpretive centre for tourists.

Western Canada bus trip (5): Calgary to Medicine Hat 2012-05-31

A Greyhound bus leaves Calgary's hidden-behind-cloverleaf-maze bus depot to inch its way through downtown and Memorial Drive to the Trans-Canada Highway. Quick stops is made at the towns of Strathmore, Bassano, and Brooks before following the arrow-straight highway with 100 km of uniform, sleep-inducing wire towers on its north side, past Suffield to Redcliff, and finally arriving in Medicine Hat.

These are the best lakes in the Holy Cross Wilderness of Colorado, the Upper and Lower Missouri Lakes. Enjoy the views from the shorelines of both of these lakes at sunrise and in the evening. We had the opportunity to hike in and camp at the upper lake for one night and it was incredibly peaceful, an experience that is highly recommended!

Aspen Mountain - View from the Top in 360 Degree Video

This is some 360 degree video I shot at the top of Aspen Mountain in Colorado. The view is stunning. The video was shot in mid-June, but as you can see, there was plenty of snow around on the higher mountains. You can see the top base for the Silver Queen gondola ride and also the exterior of the Sundeck Restaurant.
