Grouard, also known as Grouard Mission, is a hamlet in northern Alberta within Big Lakes County. It was previously an incorporated municipality between 1909 and 1944, Grouard is located 13 kilometres north of Highway 2, approximately 171 kilometres northeast of Grande Prairie. Peace River, originally named Peace River Crossing, and known as Rivière-la-Paix in French, is a town in northwestern Alberta, Canada, situated along the banks of the Peace River, at its confluence with the Smoky River, the Heart River and Pat's Creek. It is the second largest lake entirely within Alberta boundaries , covering 1,160 km2 and measuring over 100 km long and 15 km at its widest point. Lesser Slave Lake averages 11.4 m in depth and is 20.5 m at its deepest. It drains eastwards into the Athabasca River by way of the Lesser Slave River. The town of Slave Lake is located at the eastern tip of the lake, around the outflow of Lesser Slave River.

The Jubilee Memorial of Social Justice in the Archdiocese of Grouard-McLennan in Northern Alberta in Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Development and Peace in Canada.

This video was commissioned by the Social Justice Committee of St. Josephs Parish in Grande Prairie, which is in the Catholic Archdiocese of Grouard-McLennan in the North-West corner of Alberta, Canada.

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Development and Peace (D & P) (D&P) in Canada (1967-2017), the Social Justice Committee decided to celebrate the Social Justice work that has been done with (and in support of D & P), or has been done in partnership with D & P, OR has been done outside the umbrella of D & P.

October 21 - 22, 2017 is the date of the celebration, in Grande Prairie, and this video is meant to showcase memories from across the years to inspire and motivate Christians to action.

To say that this video is the tip of the social justice iceberg in Grouard-McLennan is a vast overstatement - the reports in this video are like the tiniest snowflake on the tip of the iceberg! SO MUCH has been done. SO MUCH is being done. And with the Grace of God, the Guidance of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Inspiration of the Holy Spirit, SO MUCH MORE will be done.

Greene Valley Provincial Park is a provincial park east of the Town of Peace River Alberta in the Northern Sunrise County. It was designated by the Provincial Government a provincial park on June 6, 2000.
It is located in the Heart River valley and encompasses the confluences of the Heart River and its two downstream tributaries. The park stretches just over 26 kilometers from the Town of Peace River southwest towards the Village of Nampa. The Heart River is a major tributary to the Peace River and is a wildlife corridor. The park also provides winter range for moose and mule deer.The Province of Alberta is currently upgrading the Twelve Foot Davis Park, the Dr. Greene Cairn Site and the Peace River Provincial Recreation Area located within the Greene Valley Provincial Park.
