WhiteSands Resort is a camping destination located in Lac La Biche County on the shore of Lac La Biche Lake.
Washrooms, showers, boat lunch and a small store are the primary facilities provided by the resort. There are several cabins available fully outfitted with anything you may need to enjoy your stay including cable TV, washrooms and running water.
The lake offers sandy beaches, water activities and great Northern Pike fishery.

Lakeland Canoeing Adventure - Lac La Biche

Our July 24th of July consisted of Canoeing, Camping, Fishing and Eskimo Rolls.

In this video I wanted to capture what Canoeing in Northern Alberta is like.
The video was edited from footage taken on July 24th with a GoPro Hero HD wearable camera and a chesty mount.

Video was shot in 960p mode (1280 x 960 resolution) to capture the surroundings in full-frame and 170 degree ultra wide angle.

Lakeland Provincial Park is located east of Lac La Biche, Alberta, Canada. It consists of many pristine lakes and streams interconnected together by land or by man-made trails, many of which can be used to portage the canoes or kayaks allowing for some nice paddling circuits - with nights spent camping at one of the many backcountry campsites.

Polar Dip into Lac la Biche 2014

Our tourism coordinator was invited to the annual Polar Dip by some of our community members, and she went for it and dove all the way into the freezing waters of Lac la Biche!
