Buffalo Lake Campground | Alberta Camping Review
Also known to the locals as Boss Hill, Buffalo Lake Provincial Recreation Area is one of three campgrounds on central Alberta's Buffalo Lake. Located on highway 56 north of Stettler, Alberta, Canada, about 2 1/2 hours northeast of Calgary.
Take a walk down the shoreline or along the small beach, watch for owls, song birds and deer in the surrounding forest, or take a boat out on to the lake for some great fishing. Waterskiing and wind surfing are also popular activities on the water.
This campground has 28 sites with camping fees of $22/night. There is no services available and no potable water available at the campground itself.

A nation with a centuries-old tradition for a one-of-a-kind nomadic culture that has defied the super powers surrounding it time and again, Mongolia is home to a ton of interesting locations that are sure to find favor with even the most critical of visitor. Heck, simply getting from one place to another is a great part of the experience in and of itself. If you have the opportunity to travel to this little nation between Russia and China, then here are some ways to fill your time.
1. Make Sure to Talk to a Guide
As awesome as the internet is, a lot of the best parts of visiting Mongolia may not be available online. That’s why it might be a good idea to enlist the services of a qualified travel guide when you first enter the country. There are plenty of English-speaking professionals who can make sure that you experience the most fascinating aspects of visiting Mongolia.
2. Start in the Capital, Ulaanbaatar
You just might find the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar — pronounced OO-lahn-BAH-toor — to be far more developed than you anticipated. The thriving restaurant scene is a treat for any tourist, while the incredible number of museums and monasteries will help you get primed for the rich history and spiritual life of the Mongolian people. From a logisitical standpoint, Ulaanbaatar has several English-speaking citizens who can help you get your bearings before you strike out into the country’s gorgeous landscapes.
3. Spend the Night in a Monastery
The most popular religion in Mongolia is Buddhism. As such, the country has a gorgeous selection of monasteries filled with some impressive history and extremely welcoming monks. Some of these monasteries will even accommodate an overnight stay, which is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you’re interested, this is one of those activities that’s good to speak to a travel guide about when you land in the city.
4. Don’t Forget a Trip to Khövsgöl Nuur
One of the countries most popular attractions in Mongolia is the gorgeous Khövsgöl Nuur, the country’s deepest lake. At a length of more than 84 miles, Khövsgöl Nuur is a sight to behold. Even if you think you’ve experienced the beauty of a vast mountain lake, you still haven’t seen the sun rise on Khövsgöl Nuur.
5. Visit the Gobi and Ride a Camel
As you travel through Mongolia, consider spending a night or two in Dalanzadgad, which will place you in perfect position to enjoy the breathtaking expanse of the Gobi desert. While you’re there, make sure to take a camel ride. The walk might be a little wobbly, but the experience is perfect.
6. Take a Ride on the Trans-Mongolian Train
When you visit Mongolia, you should absolutely take some time to travel through the country at large. The easiest way to do that is to hop on board the Mongolian leg of the world-famous Trans-Siberian railway. The sleeping cars can accommodate practically any budget, and the restaurant is a great way to grab a meal between destinations. The railway also covers some of the most gorgeous contryside in the country; it’s a perfect way to take in the vast expanses of Mongolia while you’re there.
7. Experience a Secret Skier’s Refuge
If you’re the kind of traveler who is always in search of fresh powder, then you shouldn’t overlook the possibility of a trip to Mongolia. This is another vacation that you should coordinate with a Mongolian travel agent, because the skiing options are limited. Limited, but spectacular. Avoid the crowds at the lift and throw yourself down some of the best lines in the world.
8. See the World’s Largest Statue of Genghis Khan
To the east of Ulaanbaatar is a 130-foot-tall statue of Genghis Khan in the spot where the leader supposedly found a legendary golden whip. The massive monument to Mongolia’s most famous historical conqueror, the statue is quite impressive on the shores of the Tuul River.
9. Drop In for Some Tea
Expect a very warm welcome if you happen to converse with a Mongolian family near their home. The country has a long-held tradition of inviting a visitor in for a cup of tea; if you should be the recipient of such an offer, you should really think about taking it. Fair warning, standard Mongolian tea includes salt and yak’s milk which can be an interesting combination for a Westerner. That said, the hospitality should more than make up for the taste. Just take small sips.
10. Spend at Least One Night in a Ger
For a large part of history, one of the most common forms of housing in the country was the ger, also known as a yurt. Essentially, a ger is a tent made of several animal pelts that are draped on a collapsible frame. They’re still extremely popular in Mongolia today, and if you’d really like to get a glimpse into traditional Mongolian culture, spending a few nights in a ger is a good way to do it.

Niagara Falls, Canada Travel Guide - Must-See Attractions
Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between Canada and the United States; more specifically, between the province of Ontario and the state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge.
From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lie on the Canadian side and the American Falls on the American side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also located on the American side, separated from the other waterfalls by Luna Island. The international boundary line was originally drawn through Horseshoe Falls in 1819, but the boundary has long been in dispute due to natural erosion and construction.
Located on the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls form the highest flow rate of any waterfall in the world, with a vertical drop of more than 165 feet (50 m). Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall in North America, as measured by vertical height and also by flow rate. The falls are located 17 miles (27 km) north-northwest of Buffalo, New York and 75 miles (121 km) south-southeast of Toronto, between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Niagara Falls, New York.

1) Visit Temples
No trip to SE Asia - and Cambodia for that matter - should be taken without firmly penciling in a visit to Angkor Wat. Built to honor Hindu God Vishnu, Angkor Wat is the largest religious complex in the world.
2) Island Hop
Few islands in SE Asia can offer as much as Bali, Indonesia. Paradise for beach dwellers? Check. Into surfing? Check. Culture vulture? Ubud will surely tickle your fancy. Backpacker? Kuta beach is calling. Feel like climbing an active volcano? Mount Batur is calling your name. Love monkeys? Try to avoid getting bitten at Ubud Monkey Forest.
3) Volunteer
If you're seeking a place to volunteer that supports a great cause, look no further than Elephant Nature Park. Nestled nearby Chiang Mai, this elephant sanctuary and rescue center protects elephants from abuse in stark contrast with the Thai government which turns a blind eye.
4) Linger for a while in Cultural Hubs
Luang Prabang is a cultural hub in northern Laos that is a little slice of paradise. A charming city oozing with character it is different from other cities in Southeast Asia in the sense that is not overcrowded. Whether you go shopping, explore the rural countryside or enjoy riverside dining you'll surely remember your time here fondly. I highly recommend taking a cooking class.
5) Marvel at modern architecture
When you first lay your eyes upon the Petronas Towers it is like being in front of a futuristic space towers. These amazing towers are the main landmark of Kuala Lumpur and are easily the most impressive towers in SE Asia.
6) Indulge in Street Food
I can't think of a single nation in SE Asia where you can't devour amazing street food. In our travel video guide we showcase the Saturday Night Market in Chaing Mai where you can eat Thai and International street food delights without shelling out too much Baht.
7) Explore a Mega Alpha City
There are many mega cities in SE Asia worth exploring from Kuala Lumpur to Saigon and Bangkok to Hanoi; however, no city in Southeast really compares with Singapore. Clean. Impossibly sterile. Maybe to some; however it is a beacon of light in terms of development and prosperity with many impressive attractions and landmarks.
8) Get off the beaten track
When possible try to visit some smaller gems. Although the road from Chiang Mai to Pai is as serpentine as you'll ever experience, the rewards once arriving are plentiful. Stunning scenery and a slower pace of life await you. Swing on a hammock to your heart's content.
9) Boat Trip
Choosing either a two or three day Ha Long Bay boat cruise is one of the top things I recommend to do while traveling in Vietnam. Stunning Karsts, adventure sports (kayaking) and plenty of relaxing are what keep tourists coming in droves.
10) Go Hiking and visit Hill Tribes
Sapa, Vietnam is one of your best bets in SE Asia for adventure hiking. You can go on two or three day adventures where you'll be treated to breathtaking scenery, rice terraces, rural life and plenty of hospitality.

This Arizona Waterfall is TALLER than Niagara Falls! – Grand Falls, AZ
The Grand Falls in Arizona, or “Chocolate Falls” as they’re referred to, is an absolutely stunning waterfall located on the Little Colorado River about 100 miles east of the east entrance to the Grand Canyon and 40 miles east of Flagstaff, Arizona. This amazing waterfall is 18 feet taller than Niagara Falls at a towering 185 feet! The best times to see the falls are between March & April and during monsoon season in the Summer, but make sure your vehicle is ready to handle the rough, unpaved road!
DIRECTIONS FROM FLAGSTAFF, AZ:
Take I-40 East to exit 211 toward Winona. Turn left onto Winona Rd and continue 2.1 miles before turning right onto Leupp Rd. Continue on Leupp Rd for 14.8 miles before turning left onto Indian Route 70. (The turn is marked by a sign for “Grand Falls Bible Church.”) Continue on Indian Route 70 for 8.6 miles and then you will see “parking lot” and restrooms up ahead.
Using these exact coordinates in Google Maps should take you on the correct route so that you don’t end up on the wrong side of the river: 35.425610, -111.195656. If it tries to take you through the city of Leupp, then you’re going the wrong way.

Free Camping in Montana City Parks - VanLife On the Road
Found some nice parks that allow camping.
My name is Brian. I live on the road full time in my self built camper van. Join me on my adventures.
In this video I depart from my camp at WoodBottom Campground in Loma, Montana. On the way out of the campground I stop at Decision Point to take in some views. Then I head towards Harlem, Montana where I find an interesting little park that offers free camping. After a nice overnight, and doing laundry the next day, I continue east on Highway 2 towards Hinsdale, Montana where I find a great free campground in another city park. Milk River Park was a great place to camp for free. See you in the next video!
