Lakeland FL Tourism. Lakeland is a city in Polk County, Florida, United States, east of Tampa. According to the 2013 U.S. Census Bureau estimate, the city had a population of 100,710. Lakeland is a principal city of the Lakeland–Winter Haven Metropolitan Statistical Area (coterminous with Polk County), which had an estimated population of 623,009 in July 2013 based on data from the University of Florida Bureau of Economic and Business Research. It is twinned with Richmond Hill, Ontario; Imabari, Ehime, Japan; Balti, Moldova; Portmore, Jamaica; and Chongming County, Shanghai, China as part of the Sister Cities program.

Whitestone is an upper-middle-class to upper-class residential neighborhood in the northernmost part of the New York City borough of Queens. The neighborhood proper is located between the East River to the north; College Point and Whitestone Expressway to the west; Flushing and 25th Avenue to the south; and Bayside and Francis Lewis Boulevard to the east.
Whitestone contains the subsection of Malba, which is bounded to the north by the East River, to the east by the Whitestone Expressway, to the south by 14th Avenue, and to the west by 138th Street. Malba was cited in a New York Times article as one of the few elite enclaves of Queens.

Spook Hill - Lake Wales, FL
For some reason guidebooks and websites list Spook Hill as something to do/see in Lake Wales, FL. My wife and I visited Bok Tower Sanctuary (which is actually very cool) then decided to stop by Spook Hill. The idea is that you drive to a certain point on this road and your car will roll against gravity. Watch the video and you'll see this is the dumbest thing ever. The hill you pull up to has about a 15 degree incline - of course you're going to roll backward. Now, if your car rolled forward, that would be something to see. But backward? Dumbest attraction I've ever been to.
