These are the places in Florida where the cost of living is the lowest; where your salary goes the furthest.
And when if you have the luxury of choosing where to live in the Sunshine State, then the cost of living should play a role in the decision.
The places we name here are among the most affordable places to live in Florida now, but they may not be the absolute cheapest.
Why? Because we did not include places that have high crime rates.
I don’t think you want to try to save money by greatly increasing your chances, or that of your family, of becoming a victim of a violent crime.
The place had to be what most people would consider livable because it has shops, restaurants and maybe even parks so you can enjoy your life.
There are still a few places in Florida that are affordable and safe.
Here are the 10 Most Affordable Places to live in Florida for 2018:
1. Dunedin.
2. Tavares.
3. Edgewater.
4. Fort Pierce.
5. Niceville.
6. Gainesville.
7. Sebastian.
8. Coconut Creek.
9. Apalachicola.
10. Port Orange.

10 things you need to see when driving Florida's A1A
Florida's State Road A1A is one of the most scenic road trip routes in the nation. It runs along the most eastern border of the state, about as close to the water as you can get. In fact, pay attention to the weather when planning your vacation, because stretches of this route are known to close down due to tropical storms.
But when the weather is grand, the views couldn't be better. A1A is a beach-lover's paradise, because it hops from beach to beach. As a bonus, Florida tends to be less expensive than California (except for a few regions near Jupiter Beach), making this beach-hopping car tour both budget-friendly and super laid-back.
Catch a flight into Miami and head north, where you can hug the edge of Florida for long stretches, nearly all the way to the Georgia-Florida state line. A1A is by far the slower route than other north-south options, but making good time is rarely the point of a road trip, right?
Although we could make a top-100 list of our favorite places to stop on A1A, here are 10 must-dos, starting in Miami Beach and heading north to Amelia Island.

Daytona: Best Cheap Spring Break Destinations
Daytona: Best Cheap Spring Break Destinations
Hearing 20 miles of beachfront will tempt many vacation-seekers, but the typical Daytona beachgoer usually has something else in mind. Despite recent efforts to appeal to families (Orlando, amusement park central, is just an hour away), Daytona annually attracts thousands of visitors in search of speed and spring break. And although many college kids have moved to trendier locales (Miami Beach, for one), this east Florida city still remains a frequented spot. Its reputation as the it party place has welcomed a different type of celebratory atmosphere — the ever-expanding NASCAR empire. Best known for the Daytona International Speedway, Daytona draws travelers who hope to see their favorite race car drivers up close.
