These are the places in Florida where the cost of living is the lowest; where your salary goes the furthest.
And when if you have the luxury of choosing where to live in the Sunshine State, then the cost of living should play a role in the decision.
The places we name here are among the most affordable places to live in Florida now, but they may not be the absolute cheapest.
Why? Because we did not include places that have high crime rates.
I don’t think you want to try to save money by greatly increasing your chances, or that of your family, of becoming a victim of a violent crime.
The place had to be what most people would consider livable because it has shops, restaurants and maybe even parks so you can enjoy your life.
There are still a few places in Florida that are affordable and safe.
Here are the 10 Most Affordable Places to live in Florida for 2018:
1. Dunedin.
2. Tavares.
3. Edgewater.
4. Fort Pierce.
5. Niceville.
6. Gainesville.
7. Sebastian.
8. Coconut Creek.
9. Apalachicola.
10. Port Orange.

Living In Southwest Florida
Living In Southwest Florida
Today we take you for a ride through part of the areas surrounding the area where we live in Southwest Florida. We visit Charlotte Harbor in Port Charlotte, Florida. There are so many things to do in Florida year round from swimming, biking, boatings, snorkeling, scuba diving, boating, fishing, collecting shells, shark teeth and more. We especially love our town, North Port, Florida. It is growing on a daily basis. Rent is increasing rapidly everywhere in Florida so I highly recommen if at all possible purchase a small home before the prices go up anymore. They have already increased by about 3 fold but deals are still to be found with so many foreclosures. Florida's economy got hit hard just like most of the United States. I belive the house values in this town will continue to increase as long as we don't have another crash. The house taxes aren't too bad but the insurance is expensive but still less than paying rent in most places IF you can even find a place to rent. I see people having trouble even finding a place because the town and whole area is growing so fast. We LOVE Florida as you can tell. We've been here for 6 years now and think we made a good decision moving from Ohio to Florida.
