Tips & Things to do in Alicante, Spain (Costa Blanca, Episode 01)

I visited my friend Greg in Spain and he showed me some things to do in Alicante where we started our little exploration of the Costa Blanca region

I flew down to Spain in December for 2 weeks to hang out with my friend Greg and his girlfriend Nellie. My first stop is Alicante where both live in an apartment close to the city center - the perfect base to explore the city from!

Greg showed me around in his new hometown starting at the Playa de Prostiguet which is the main beach of Alicante. From there we headed for the main things to do in Alicante and walked through the old town in the Santa Cruz neighborhood.

The Santa Barbara castle is definitely the highlight of every trip to Alicante, from here you have an amazing view - a great spot to enjoy the sunset from before a delicious Tapas feast. As you do in Spain :)

Best Places to Visit in Spain - East Coast HD

What are the best places to visit in Spain on the East Coast? Our selection includes Dali Museum in Figueres, Barcelona, Tarragona, the leisure complex of PortAventura, Poblet Monastery, Ebro Delta, Valencia, and the beautiful beaches on the Costa Dorada and Costa Blanca.

Not often can you find an area that offers you such a great variety of art and architecture from different ages, entertainment opportunities and natural beauties. If you like mediterranean climate this area guarantees you a lovely holiday.

When you look for the best places to visit in Spain, the East Coast can be attractive for everybody regardless of their age. Families with children can also find there a lot of possibilities of spending their time amusingly, still usefully.

You may spend several days in Barcelona itself, the city is huge and full of miracles.

Allow for at least one full day for visiting Portaventura Park, it will be the crown of your trip. The leisure park offers six different theme areas, each with its own shows and rides. Children and young adults will definitely love them.

We started in the beautiful town of Altea where we wandered the streets of the lovely old town before heading to Villajoyosa and Benidorm on the coast. But beside the coast you can also go wine tasting and hiking. The trek to the Balcon de Alicante is a great option which is not too far from Alicante.

Tips & Things to do in Valencia, Spain (Costa Blanca, Episode 03)

On our last stop of the roadtrip in Spain we checked out all the things to do in Valencia (though not part of the Costa Blanca) and show you around in the city.

I flew down to Spain in December for 2 weeks to hang out with my friend Greg and his girlfriend Nellie. At the end of my trip we took a train to Valencia and spent a weekend there exploring all the things to do in Valencia and based ourself in a stylish Apartment we rented via AirBnB.

After renting bikes we cycled into the old town and visited the Mercado Central, the Cathedral of Valencia and enjoyed a long ride down the Jardin del Turia to the port and the wide beach. Of course we couldn’t miss out on the typical Paella accompanied by a cold beer.

We finished of our stay with a visit to the City of Arts and Sciences, a futuristic complex full of interesting architecture - the perfect spot to photograph the sunset!

Benidorm - The tourist capital of ther Costa Blanca

In the centre of the La Marina Baixa region, is the popular Spanish resort of Benidorm, one of the main tourist destinations along the Costa Blanca.

Thanks to its orientation, Benidorm has a micro climate, which makes for high temperatures all year round. Add that to its excellent beaches, wide variety of accommodation, restaurants and many recreational activities means it’s a hit with tourists from all over Spain and Northern Europe.

It is located between Alicante and Valencia and easily reachable from those two cities.
