Adam & Brooke May 18 Caloundra
18th of May 2018 - Caloundra RSL
When Brooke McClymont surprised fans by joining her husband Adam Eckersley on stage at this year’s Gympie Muster, news began circulating that more things were to come. Today, the husband and wife duo have shared their first single and video ‘Train Wreck’ and announced their debut album ‘Adam & Brooke’ will be available on Friday February 9th.
Adam Eckersley and Brooke McClymont have mused about a musical collaboration for years, but finding time has always been a challenge. After all, the Adam Eckersley Band (AEB) is one of the hardest working groups in the country and Brooke’s commitment to her sisters in The McClymonts has always been unwavering.
“My sisters are busy having babies now,” she laughs, “so Adam and I thought this was the right time for our own thing.”
Embracing that opportunity, the couple – who, between them, have twelve Golden Guitars and two APRA Awards to go with Brooke’s two ARIAs – showcase both halves of the duo with “Train Wreck”. A swaggering, soulful country rocker “Train Wreck” delivers a hard-hitting, endearingly honest account of love at full throttle. The accompanying video is directed by Ben Abbott, who also directed The McClymonts “Forever Begins Tonight” video, and was filmed in the New England town of Uralla (near Armidale).
Like the rest of the album, “Train Wreck” was self-produced by Adam and Brooke at La Cueva Studios in Byron Bay and mixed by Grammy & ARIA Award winning producer Nick DiDia (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam) with members of AEB serving as the studio band. “Having those guys playing on this music made such a difference,” says Adam. “And it makes it really feel like our music,” adds Brooke.
About Adam & Brooke:
Adam Eckersley has won 2 Golden Guitar Awards; the first in 2015 for New Talent of the Year and then in 2016 for Group or Duo of the Year for his group the Adam Eckersley Band. Their debut album ‘The First Album’ debuted Top 5 on ARIA Country Chart with ‘The Second Album’ debuting #7 on the ARIA Country Chart. Adam was also recognized for his songwriting winning the APRA Award for Country Work of the Year for “Give Her the World” in 2015 and first place in the Country section of the International Songwriting Competition in 2014.
Brooke McClymont is one third of top-selling, multi-award winning trio The McClymonts. With over 175k album sales, 2 x ARIA Awards, 10 x Golden Guitar Awards, 1 x CMA (USA) Award, 1 x APRA Award and 4 x #1 ARIA Country Albums, the McClymonts have firmly established themselves as Australia’s #1 Country group. They have released twenty singles over the last decade including #1 hits such as “House”, “Don’t Wish It All Away”, “Forever Begins Tonight”, “Here’s To You & I”, “Wrapped Up Good”, “Kick It Up”, “Two Worlds Collide” and “My Life Again”.

Brand New Alpaca Baby Born - Adorable!
Just down the road from our current farmsit in Boyup Brook, Western Australia, not one, but two Alpaca's were born. What a treat for us to watch the antics of the newest one... still with umbilical cord and trying to figure out where is Mum's milk. Such a treat to witness something new!
