Nanarup Beach is a beach in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, 20 kilometres east of Albany.The beach is white sand and has stairway access at the western end where Taylor Inlet discharges into the ocean. Cheyne Beach Whaling Station is a defunct whaling station in Australia. It now operates as a tourist park known as Albany's Historic Whaling Station. Greens Pool is a sandy white beach with boulders on the south coast of Western Australia between Denmark and Walpole. This sheltered area is part of William Bay National Park and has a sandy white beach ringed by large granite boulders that prevent the swell of the Southern Ocean reaching the shoreline. The area has a car park, viewing platform and toilet facility with a reasonably steep sandy path down to the beach.

Bluff Knoll is the highest peak of the Stirling Range in the Great Southern region of Western Australia . It is 1,099 metres above sea level, and is one of only a few places to experience regular snowfalls in Western Australia, with some snow reported in most years. The last heavy snowfall was on 6 October 1992 when 20 centimetres of snow was recorded and light snow was seen at the base, 450 metres . Snow fell on three occasions in 2016 after only falling once in 2015. Although Bluff Knoll is sometimes claimed to be the highest point in Western Australia, the highest peak is actually Mount Meharry in Karijini National Park in the Hamersley Range, which is 1,249 metres above sea level. Albany WA - Family Travel Australia

In todays video we had an amazing day in Albany, Western Australia. We started off by whale watching on Albany Ocean Adventures followed by a few of Albany's attractions like Dog Rock, Albany Wind Farm, The Gap and Natural Bridge in Torndirrup National Park followed by sunset at Goode Beach.

Next week - Albany Day Three - We check something off my bucketlist by going on a boat and SEEING WHALES!! We also check out some of the other things that Albany has to offer. I won't give it all away but make sure you subscribe because it should be a good one!

Camping at 40 Mile Beach, Western Australia

• 4O MILE BEACH CAMPING •

You'll find 40 Mile Beach (aka Gnoorea Point) about 45 mins west of Karratha, Western Australia (where we're currently working for a few weeks)

There are tons of camping options and it'll set you back $15 a night (per car) or $90 a week. NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR KIDS!

There's toilets, bins & a dump point but we chose to camp a little ways away from the main area so we had a bit of beach to ourselves but no facilities.

We were there over a full moon so the tides were fairly extreme, and when the tide was out we could explore the mud flats & rock pools where we spotted FOUR very cool octopus.

Definitely a good place to stop for a while.
