The Pinnacles are limestone formations contained within Nambung National Park, near the town of Cervantes, Western Australia. The raw material for the limestone of the Pinnacles came from seashells in an earlier epoch rich in marine life. Shark Bay, Gascoyne, Western Australia
Shark Bay is a World Heritage Site, in Gascoyne, Western Australia. It is famous for its amazing sites, and for its dolphins. It is located 830 km north of Perth.
Shark Bay has some amazing landscapes. There are beautiful beaches, including Shell Beach, made entirely of shells. There are cliffs, bays and inlets. A large section of Shark Bay has been cleared of non-native wildlife and fenced off at the narrowest point to provide a conservation reserve for rare Australia wildlife. The project is called Project Eden. Many native animals have been releases including the woylie, mallee fowl, southern brown bandicoot and bilby. The Hamelin Pool Marine Nature Reserve is home to the stromatolites, a rare and ancient form of life.
The European history of the area goes back to when Dirk Hartog, the Dutch explorer landed at Shark Bay in 1616, over 150 years before Captain Cook made his first landing at Kurnell in 1770 leading to the establishment of the British colony at Sydney 18 years later. The Dutch didn't care for the area, as it contained none of the spices or other valuables they were looking to trade or acquire. Their further visits were largely the result of being blown off course on route to the Dutch East Indies (modern day Indonesia).
Francois Peron National Park is named after a French naturalist who visited Shark Bay in 1801 and 1803. For many years it was a sheep station. The government bought it in 1990. The old homestead is now a museum.
Shark Bay is centred on the towns of Monkey My-a and Debham and is made up of Francois Peron National Park, Dirk Hartog Island, Shell Beach, Shark Bay Marine Park, Hamelin Pool Marine Nature Reserve. It was given World Heritage status in 1991. The Shark Bay World Heritage Discover Centre is in Denham.

Shell Beach (Shark Bay, Western Australia)
Approx 900 Klms North of Perth, Western Australia, is a 60km long stretch of beach which is covered with billions of tiny coquina bivalve shells to a depth of 7-10 metres. The high water salinity in the area has resulted in the proliferation of this particular species, while many other species are not. Its predators do not cope well in this environment.

Denmark Western Australia Video Guide
Things to do in Denmark and Albany, Western Australia.
Planning a road trip and up to explore Western Australia?
Here are the best attractions, activities and beautiful places to see south of Perth.
The trip will take you about 4.5 hours driving. We initially wanted to go to Esperance (8 hours one way), but we only had 4 days and decided to go to Denmark instead.
You can also stop here for a couple of days on your way to Esperance.
Blow Hole - amazing place for surfing, sightseeing, hiking. There are lots of stairs and the place is not suitable for kids or anyone with limited ability to walk.
Elephant Rocks & Green Pools.
Two world's wonders in one place!
Massive rocks looking like big elephants if you use a little bit of imagination.
Turquoise water and rock pools - are great for swimming, snorkelling, cliff jumping, taking awesome photos etc.
Alpaka Farm.
Amazing for both kids and for adults. Meet unique and cute rescued wild and domestic animals and interact with them.
Visit Ocean beach to see a breathtaking lookout and beginners surfers, take some surf lessons if you wish :)
The Gap - step on the edge of the world! The most breathtaking place I have ever seen in my life. Watch your hats for the wind :) I think this can be a great place to do an engagement proposal if you are looking for something special and for a place you will definitely remember!
Honey Farm & Hobey Icecream shop.
Delicious Icecream with lots of flavours based on local honey! Yum! Must try. It is also quite cheap compared to any Perth Gelato shops :)
Tree Top Walk.
Exotic hanging bridge on top of the trees!
When we planned to go there, the weather was very stormy and unfortunately, it is not in the video, hope you will have a chance to visit - tag me on your photos! I would love to see your captures. @inna_tevi
