Sea Fishing in Cambrils - Fishing Charter Cambrils
Cambrils tourist guide - Sea Fishing in Cambrils - Fishing Charter Cambrils
In addition to being a town that is loved by its people and is nice and quiet, Cambrils is a harbor ideally located for fishing.
Located in the heart of the Gulf of Sant Jordi, is ideal for all kinds of fishing including: coastal trolling, deep sea fishing, jigging, spinning and chumming.
Fishing Area
If we take a look at the sea charts of the province of Tarragona - with a fisherman’s eye - there are two geographical spots that jump out at us immediately: The Cape of Salou and the Ebro Delta.
Without any doubt, the gulf named Golfo de Sant Jordi is one of the best fishing areas in the Spanish Mediterranean. The Ebro River brings a constant supply of nutrients which feeds plankton and all types of small fish, which at the same time feeds the larger predators.
The waters close to the Ebro Delta are shallow and the sea bottom is sandy and muddy which come from the river. It is necessary to sail various miles in order to reach depths greater than 100 meters. North of Cabo de Salou, however, the sea bottom drops off much faster. The ports of Torredembarra and Vilanova i la Geltru are very well located for big game fishing.
The mouth of the Ebro River is very well known for its rich waters, moderately shallow and a preferred territory for bluefish or ‘Tallahams’ and for leerfish. Traditionally, these predators are fished by trolling, but in the last few years spinning and popping have gained acceptance in the Delta. Also we have bites from horse-mackerel, sand mackerel, and sea bass and if we are sufficiently far enough up the river, we have been surprised by a 2 meter long catfish.
The rocks and the wrecks found throughout the Golfo de Sant Jordi are hot spots for jigging and deep sea fishing. Depending on the sea depths it is possible to catch dentex, amberjack, Atlantic bonito, mackerel, and little tunny among others. The winter is when we mostly do deep sea fishing, because when we are troll fishing is very difficult to catch a decent specimen. Bottom sea fishing, here we catch green wrasse, forkbeard, red bream, white sea bream, black spot sea bream, meagre, etc.
Big game fishing takes place from April until October. We start fishing more than 20 miles out from the coast, where the sea bottom drops rapidly off to 1000 meters in depth. There are some spectacular fishing areas such as ‘Les Mamelles’ and ‘El Rinyo’, where the sea bed rises from 1200 meters to only 200 meters. Around these mountains there is an abundance of sardines, anchovies and mackerel, which at the same time are magnets for bluefin tuna and swordfish.
It is interesting to know that this area, understood as the area between Tarragona and the Balearic Islands, is where the bluefin tuna spawn. This is not just a crossing point, these fish are here from the end of March to the end of October.
Since the fattening fish farms introduced bluefin tuna near the coast of l’Ametlla de Mar, there are giant bluefin tuna only 2-3 miles out from the coast. During the summer months huge catches of bluefin tuna (up to 400 kg) are frequently fished while chumming.
For those that don’t want to spend an entire day at sea, or those that don’t want to be quite so far from the coastline, we propose trolling along the coast. In general we do an easy going in-shore trolling with small lures used to catch mackerel, horse mackerel, Atlantic bonitos, and sea pike, among others. But we are also able to set up much larger lures or fresh bate such as cuttlefish, octopus, or sea pike in order to attract leerfish and bluefish during the months of July, August, and September.
There is also the option of deep sea trolling, exploring the rocky areas and those of the ‘Poseidonia’ where the giant dentexes, amberjacks, and other fish hide...
Access To The Fishing Area

Understand Social Inclusion with European's Youth Fusion | Erasmus+ | miloszevic
A year after software crash I found lost materials and made this clip from scratches as a recollection of a youth exchange held in Can Parellada (Barcelona, Spain), a small village at 25km from Barcelona.
Summary
The mains aims of the project will be to introduce Europeans youth to the topics of social inclusion, to share them countries's realities about the issue, to improve them relationship skills and awareness of European society through non formal education. This youth exchange titled Understand Social Inclusion with European's Youth Fusion will be developped in the Can Parellada residence of Dianova España, at 25 km from Barcelona, Spain. The youth exchange will be developed from the 17th to 24th of April of 2016, with the participation of 42 young people: 6 participants (5+1 leader) from 6 partners from different countries, plus 6 participants (5+1 leader) from the host, over 7 days. The participants will come from backgrounds that have been linked with social inclusion (for example with volunteers activities), to contribute to integration and active participation of excluded and marginalised groups, or that have been linked with scocial problems, such as those who have dropped out of school, the long term unemployed and those lower on the socio-economic scale. Each group will be lead by a young person currently working in the field of social inclusion in order to provide direction to the young people and share best practice. The overall focuses of the project will be to explore, raise awareness of and fight barriers to social inclusion that are central to the participants, and to propound the cornerstone European values of solidarity and brotherhood.Participants will use non-formal methods to each research and discuss social inclusion and the factors that affect it within their own countries, then work together multi-nationally, using input from their own culture, to raise awareness of and address these issues and the methods in which problems may be resolved. This will be done using the art forms they prefer, thereby promoting and presenting their culture and at the same time becoming part of a larger group and tackling a wider issue. Additionally, time will be given each day towards self-reflection outside of the activities and for young people to approach any topics with staff that they may feel are too private for them to address with the whole group.During the project it will be dedicate two visit to the close centre of excluded and marginalized groups of Dianova España, placed in the same town of Can Parellada. The beneficiaries of the centre are people with economical/addiction/social problems that are in a rehabilitation process with the team of Dianova España. This activities it will be a shering experiences both for the young Europeans participants and for the beneficiaries of the centre. The end result of this self-discovery and social development will be a 10-15 minute filmed presentation from each group that addresses one of the issues of social inclusion. After the course, These final videos will offer an understanding of the way in which the constituent countries of the European Union can work together to break down barriers, whilst also celebrating and showcasing their beauty and passion. The films will then be disseminated to partners, relevant organizations and the participants themselves through as many different means as possible. The activities, which will last for one week, will be held in Can Parellada (Barcelona, Spain), a small village at 25km from Barcelona. The implementation of the project will be facilitated by the numerous accessible open spaces, the theaters of the residence and the natural environmental.
