Skåne County , sometimes referred to as Scania County in English, is the southernmost county or län, of Sweden, basically corresponding to the traditional province Skåne. It borders the counties of Halland, Kronoberg and Blekinge. The seat of residence for the Skåne Governor is the city of Malmö. The headquarters of Skåne Regional Council is the town of Kristianstad.The present county was created in 1997 when Kristianstad County and Malmöhus County were merged, and it covers around 3% of Sweden's total area, but its population of 1,250,000 comprises 13% of Sweden's total population. Prince Oscar of Sweden is Duke of Skåne.

    Ystad djurpark is a zoo 10 km northwest from the town Ystad, and is the most southern zoo in Sweden. The zoo displays exotic animals from around the world and many different native breeds located by a large farmhouse , as well as monkeys, lemurs, meerkats, birds and reptiles. In all, Ystad djurpark currently have around 60 different species. The zoo is closed in the wintertime, and open May 1 - September 30 . New-borns in 2014 were: lemurs, bison, eland, mara, muntjac, wallaby as well as cows, pigs, goats and sheep.

    Lundagård is a park located in Lund, Sweden. It is situated between the Lund University Main Building in the North, and Lund Cathedral in the South with Kungshuset in between. The park was for a long time a walled garden separating town from gown. Today, the one remaining gate is the entrance to the Kulturen museum. Other buildings in Lundagård are the AF Fortress , the Lund University Historical Museum and Palaestra et Odeum.The area between Kungshuset, the University building and Palaestra is called Universitetsplatsen. Tegnérsplatsen is located between the Historical Museum and the AF Castle and contains a statue of Esaias Tegnér.     Kungsparken is a park in Malmö, Sweden. It is located in the centre of the city just west of the Malmö City Hall and Malmö District Court and surrounds Malmöhus Castle. Up until 1881 it was known as Slottsparken. Because of this and their close proximity, it is sometimes confused with the nearby Slottsparken on maps, which was established in 1897.
