10. Cable Beach, Broome
Cable Beach is located in Broome in Western Australia and is considered by some to be this state’s most popular destination. It is a stunning beach, known for its white sands, beautiful sunsets and the brilliant blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Cable Beach is also famous for its camel rides on the beach. Those who prefer motorized transportation can choose to cross the sands in a four-wheel-drive vehicle instead.
9. Fraser Island
This beautiful island, which is located in Queensland, boasts rainforests, sand dunes, more than 100 freshwater lakes and pretty colored sand cliffs. Fraser Island, which is just a short ferry trip from Hervey Bay, is also considered to be the largest sand island in the world. This island boasts another unusual claim to fame — its dingoes are considered to be some of the most pure in all of Australia, as they have not had as many chances to crossbreed with dogs as their mainland cousins have had.
8. Great Ocean Road
The Great Ocean Road, which is located in Victoria, is considered to be one of the most beautiful drives in Australia. This 243 km (151 mile) drive starts in Torquay, which is located about 100 km (60 miles) from Melbourne, and ends in Allansford. As it travels along Victoria’s beautiful southwest coastline, the Great Ocean Road passes by some of the most stunning scenery in Australia, including The Twelve Apostles, which are pretty limestone stack formations that rise out of the ocean near Port Campbell National Park.
7. Purnululu National Park
Located in Western Australia, Purnululu National Park is home to one of Australia’s most unique tourist attractions known as the Bungle Bungle Range — striking orange-and-black-striped sandstone domes that resemble huge beehives. Surprisingly, the site was known only to local Aboriginal Australians and farmers until recently.
6. Blue Mountains National Park
The Blue Mountains National Park is located in New South Wales, approximately 80 km (50 miles) west of Sydney. Its proximity to the biggest city in Australia has made this scenic park a popular day trip for both tourists and locals alike. The park is probably best known for the Three Sisters, a rock formation that towers 900 meter (3000 foot) above the Jamison Valley.
5. Whitsunday Islands
This stunning collection of 74 islands lies in the middle of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, making them a perfect jumping off spot for travelers looking to explore the amazing and colorful marine life that live in the waters of this area. Although most of the Whitsunday Islands are deserted, seven do have outstanding resorts on them, including the world-famous One&Only on Hayman Island, a favorite of celebrities and the rich and famous. One of the most beautiful of the Whitsunday Islands is Whitehaven Beach, which boasts blinding white sands. These islands are the perfect choice for travelers seeking a blissful vacation on a lovely tropical island or for those who enjoy hours of snorkeling and scuba diving.

Located in Australia’s Northern Territory, about three hours north of Darwin, Kakadu is the country’s largest national park. There is a lot to see in Kakadu National Park, including a large concentration of Aboriginal rock art; some of which are estimated to be up to 20,000 years old. This park is also home to many different species of wildlife, including wallabies, dingoes and crocodiles. 2 Day Trip of Australia's Great Ocean Road | TRAVEL VLOG 27
Hello Everyone!
This was an unforgettable road trip full of amazing memories, laughs, horrible periods of sleep, and beautiful sceneries. We spent a total of 2 days and 1 night venturing out on the Great Ocean Road outside of Melbourne.
With the help of our friend Paul, we specifically chose a handful of lookout spots along the coast in order to keep the scenery interesting and to make the most of the time that we had.

The Great Ocean Road: Australia's Southern Coast

The Great Ocean Road is a 150 mile stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of Australia between the Victorian cities of Torquay and Warrnambool. The road was constructed to provide work for returning soldiers and dedicated as a Memorial to those killed in the First World War. It is one of Australia's great scenic coastline drives. Much of the road hugs the coast tightly, offering outstanding views of Bass Strait and the Southern Ocean. Between Anglesea and Apollo Bay is a particularly scenic stretch of road which passes through many towns where mountains meet the sea. The main beach in Lorne offers great views of Louttit Bay nestled in a natural amphitheatre of hills, and Teddy's Lookout is not far from the main street. The section near Port Campbell provides access by foot or helicopter to some of the most scenic coastline in the world, because of its striking and dramatic natural limestone and sandstone rock formations. These formations have been created by erosion from waves and rain and include Loch Ard Gorge, the Grotto, London Bridge (renamed to London Arch after the 'bridge' partly collapsed), and most famously the Twelve Apostles.
This video begins at Torquay and continues as we drive west. Next we make stop at Bells Beach and Port Campbell. We then see some koala bears at Kenneth River. After a stop at Apollo Bay we make it to the highlight of the day, the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge. At the Twelve Apostles I go up in a helicopter for some great views of the coast. The video concludes at London Bridge/Arch.

The Great Ocean Road is a 243 km stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of Australia between the Victorian cities of Torquay and Warrnambool. The road was constructed to provide work for returning soldiers and dedicated as a Memorial to those killed in the First World War. It is one of Australia's great scenic coastline drives.
The Great Ocean Road starts at Torquay and travels westward to the outskirts of Warrnambool. The road forms about 90% of B100 (previously designated as State Route 100), the remaining 10% known as the Surfcoast Highway which joins Geelong to Torquay.
The Great Ocean Road was built by 3000 returned servicemen (or Diggers) as a war memorial for fellow servicemen who had been killed in the First World War.
The idea for the road was suggested as far back as 1864. Surveying began in 1918 and construction took place between 1919 and 1932.
Parts of the Great Ocean Road run around steep coastal mountains. These were the trickiest and the final sections to be built.
In 1922 the section from Eastern View to Lorne was completed.
In 1932 the section from Lorne to Apollo Bay was finished, thus completing the entire road.
Much of the road hugs the coast tightly, offering outstanding views of Bass Strait and the Southern Ocean.

Around Lorne there are many forest walks which visit impressive waterfalls. Erskine Falls is a 15 minute drive inland from Lorne. Kennett River is a popular spot for koala spotting.
Between Apollo Bay and Gellibrand Lower, the road passes through the Great Otway National Park, which includes some of the last surviving temperate rainforests in the south of Australia. A walk at Mait's Rest offers spectacular views of tree-ferns and Myrtle Beeches.
After Lavers Hill is Melba Gully State Park which includes a 40-minute walk through tree ferns, Myrtle Beeches, Australian Blackwoods, passing a giant Otway Messmate and beautiful river cascades. If you return at night with a spotlight you will see thousands of Arachnocampa glowworms.
The road's speed limit varies from 80 km/h (50 mph) to 100 km/h (62 mph) out of urban areas. However, its sharp curves make it difficult to maintain those speeds. It is a two lane roadway (one lane in each direction). Urban area speed limits vary from 50 km/h (31 mph) to 70 km/h (43 mph). There are speed cameras at intervals along the road.

#7: Melbourne to Adelaide and Everything in Between (Great Ocean Road Roadtrip - Australia part 1)
In my head, 2 cities and a 5 day road trip was a perfectly reasonable amount to squeeze into one vlog, but unfortunately there was just too much to cram into 5 minutes so here's a 10 minute bumper pack of our first 2 weeks in Aus!
We explored Melbourne, drove the Great Ocean Road in our Campervan and enjoyed the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
Highlights include adorable animals (did someone say penguins + koalas?), a snippet from the jazz class I took, several singalongs and a tour of our camper :)
