Gunbower is a town in northern Victoria, Australia. The town is located in the Shire of Campaspe, 272 kilometres north of the state capital, Melbourne on the banks of Gunbower Creek. At the 2016 census, Gunbower had a population of 551.Gunbower Post Office opened on 8 March 1876.Gunbower has a horse racing club, the Gunbower Racing Club, which holds the Gunbower Cup meeting in October .

The park contains the Gunbower Forest Ramsar wetlands site for the protection of migratory bird species.

Lake Boga Flying Boat Base was a Royal Australian Air Force flying boat base at Lake Boga, Victoria, Australia during World War II. When the Imperial Japanese attacked Darwin and Broome in 1942 resulting in the loss of 16 flying boats, the establishment of a safe haven for flying boats was required inland as a remote facility outside the sphere of Japanese airplanes. Lake Boga was picked as it allowed almost unlimited choice of landing/take off directions and was free of obstructions. It was also close to nearby infrastructure. Required for Australian, Royal Netherlands East Indies Air Force and United States flying boat servicing and repairs, Lake Boga was commissioned in June 1942. Kyabram is located in the centre of a rich irrigation district in the Goulburn River Valley, in the Australian state of Victoria, 200 kilometres north of Melbourne. Kyabram, the second-largest town in the Shire of Campaspe, is situated between the towns of Echuca and Shepparton and is close to the Murray River, Goulburn River, Campaspe River and Waranga Basin. As of the 2011 census the town had a population of 7,321 people and provides services to a district population of around 16,000. The name of the town is thought to derive from an Aboriginal word Kiambram meaning Thick Forest.
