A former volcano, it lies 718m above sea level on the plain between the two small townships of Newham and Hesket, approximately 70 km north-west of Melbourne and a few kilometres north of Mount Macedon. [FILMED ON July 29, 2017] Parliament House is one of Melbourne's famous landmarks and one of the most architecturally distinguished public buildings in Australia. It is located on Spring Street in East Melbourne, facing the intersection of Spring and Bourke streets.
Parliament House offers a free tour on the weekdays (Monday to Friday), however the building is not open on public holiday and weekends (except for Open Day). This video was taken during Open House Melbourne 2017. The tour covers Queen’s Hall and Vestibule, Legislative Assembly, Library and Legislative Council.
