Mount Dandenong is both a mountain and a small township/suburb of Greater Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 35 km east from Melbourne's central business district. Its local government area is the Shire of Yarra Ranges. At the 2016 Census, Mount Dandenong had a population of 1,251. Light to moderate snowfalls occur on Mount Dandenong a few times most years, mostly frequently between late winter and late spring. The area around Mount Dandenong experienced a highly unusual summer snow fall on Christmas Day 2006.

William Ricketts was an Australian potter and sculptor of the arts and crafts movement. Born in Richmond, Victoria, in 1898, William settled permanently in Mount Dandenong, Victoria, in 1934. Although not trained as a potter and never technically superior , the power of his vision of a modern Australia that embraces Aboriginal spirituality and respect for the natural world was his general message throughout his artworks. His major works include the Dromana in the Seawinds Garden, Arthurs Seat, Victoria, and Gun Brute at the William Ricketts Sanctuary, Mount Dandenong, Victoria. Many smaller works are in the collection of the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney. Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park is a 25-acre biopark within the Pearcedale Conservation Park located at Pearcedale on the Mornington Peninsula near Melbourne, Australia. It aims to display the fauna that was found in the Mornington Peninsula and Western Port Biosphere Reserve prior to European settlement as well as working towards the recovery of threatened Australian fauna. The park is open all year except on Christmas Day. The sanctuary, as part of Pearcedale Conservation Park, is an institutional member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association . It is ECO Certified at the Ecotourism level by Ecotourism Australia.

The Dandenong Ranges are a set of low mountain ranges, rising to 633 metres at Mount Dandenong, approximately 35 km east of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The ranges consist mostly of rolling hills, steeply weathered valleys and gullies covered in thick temperate rainforest, predominantly of tall Mountain Ash trees and dense ferny undergrowth. After European settlement in the region, the range was used as a major source of timber for Melbourne. The ranges were popular with day-trippers from the 1870s onwards. Much of the Dandenongs were protected by parklands as early as 1882 and by 1987 these parklands were amalgamated to form the Dandenong Ranges National Park, which was subsequently expanded in 1997. 1000 STEPS Dandenong Ranges | Melbourne

Today I wasn't expecting to go to hike 1000 steps in the Dandenong Ranges in Melbourne, but it was super cool!

I was having breakfast when my friend asked me do you wanna go to this place called Dendenong rages, I was like: Yeah why not!
Once we got there I realized I had to climb 1000 steps and I knew I was not prepared for it.

This dandenong rages in Melbourne is a place with a lot of nature and beautiful for families and kids, its has many places for picnic and is just very good to spend a great day.

Once I thought that we were about half way to the end of the 1000 steps we actually reached the end and that why such a short video.
But in the end we had a great morning and got to breath some fresh air.
