RV Road Trip to Caprock Canyons State Park | Bison Fest | Quitaque TX | RV Texas
Join us on an RV road trip up to the Texas Panhandle and beautiful Caprock Canyons State Park in Quitaque, Texas! Caprock Canyons is one of our absolute favorite state parks; home of awesome views, prairie dogs and the Southern Plains Bison that make up the Official Texas State Bison Herd!
While we're in Quitaque, we take in the Annual Bison Festival, meet some of the locals, and introduce you to our friend, fellow RVer and Texas artist Melany Sarafis of MelanysArt. She and her husband, Roy, are the reason we visited Caprock Canyons State Park for the first time back in 2013. Even though this park is 9-10 hours away from our home base in Houston, we've made the drive up to visit Caprock 4 times in the past 5 years. Yes, we love it that much!
BUT... Not everything goes as planned on this trip. You just can't let the little hiccups in life keep you from having a great time! To see more on this trip, visit our website:
You can check out Melany's amazing photography and metalwork on her website and on social media. Please visit her at:

While you're in Quitaque, be sure to check out the Bison Cafe and Caprock Cafe. We had great food and service at both!
Thank you to Melany of MelanysArt and Rudy & Delma at Bison Cafe for participating in our video, And thanks to Jack at Jack's Automotive for coming to our rescue and taking care of our Jeep!
We love Quitaque TX!

Visiting Quintana Beach, Surfside... | Texas Gulf Coast | RV Texas Y'all
In last week's video, we showed you around Quintana Beach County Park, the Brazoria County campground that we stayed at during our visit to the Texas Gulf Coast. In this video, we share a few of the things we did and places we visited during our time in Quintana, including trips to nearby Surfside, old Freeport and Lake Jackson.
We had a lot more that we wanted to do while we were here, but the weather wasn't very cooperative, and the sell of our house got moved up so we had less time to explore than we expected. We will definitely be back here.

RV Trip to Corpus Christi | Southern Oaks RV Resort | Whataburger Field | USS Lexington | RV Texas
In this video, we take you along on a family RV road trip down the Texas Gulf Coast to Aransas Pass and Corpus Christi, TX! Our son joins us as we stay at Southern Oaks Luxury RV Resort, watch a Corpus Christi Hooks baseball game (AA affiliate team for the Houston Astros) at Whataburger Field, and tour the historic USS Lexington, a WWII era aircraft carrier turned museum!
This area (particularly Rockport, Port Aransas and Aransas Pass) got hit hard by Hurricane Harvey in August 2017. Southern Oaks Luxury RV Resort sustained significant damage in the storm. We show you what the resort looks like today and talk about how the area is recovering.
As always, if you'd like to see more about this trip, you can visit our website: We appreciate you watching!

BlueBonnets! Texas Roadside Camping and Wild flowers!
March 2018
It's Spring Time in Texas!
Early Spring in Texas is stunning in some locations. Central Texas is known for vast fields of Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrushes. Although I'm a bit too early for the majestic rolling waves of color, I did find enough to bring joy.
Enjoy!
