5 Top-Rated Tourist Attractions in Texas
5 Top-Rated Tourist Attractions in Texas
The second largest state in the US, Texas - aka the Lone Star State - features a wealth of natural assets and cultural attractions. Geographically, its south central location offers a diversity of landscapes, from desert regions and cave systems to mountains, canyons, and the splendid coastal scenery along the Gulf of Mexico. Its world-class cities are also a big draw and are packed with tourist attractions. Highlights include San Antonio's superb River Walk (not to mention the famous Alamo); the galleries and museums of Dallas, Fort Worth, and Houston; the State Capitol in Austin; and the Space Center in Houston. Texas is also one of the most multicultural states, and Spanish influences in particular are still evident thanks to its status as a former colony of Spain

2. President Kennedy and the Sixth Floor Museum, Dallas
3. Space Center Houston
4. Big Bend National Park

Hamilton Pool | The Paradise of Texas
We found Paradise and you'll never guess where we found it. This place is unreal, magical you might even say. Vanlife takes us to two new places today, the kinds of locations you wouldn't have guessed even existed in the State of Texas. Yes, that's right. Texas actually contains places that look more like Hawaii or Costa Rice, but actually, they aren't too far from Austin. We take a roadtrip from Austin to Jacob's Well and Hamilton Pool. Jacob's Well is considered one of the most dangerous dive spots in the world, and Hamilton pool, well it's just an underground river that was exposed when the dome collapsed. And now it's an amazing Paradise full of flora, fauna, blue-green and turquoise waters to swim in. Its housed in a half cave on one side, and a forest on the other. Most of the time there is a waterfall coming down right into the middle of it. Come with us as we roadtrip around the USA in our van and take vanlife to the next level.

Texas' Top Natural Wonders: Enchanted Rock
The massive pink granite dome rising above Central Texas has drawn people for thousands of years. But there’s more at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area than just the dome. The scenery, rock formations, and legends are magical, too!
When humans first inhabited the area 12,000 years ago, Enchanted Rock was seen as a strange structure from a supernatural world.
It creaked, it groaned, and it flickered with supposed “ghost fires,” which was enough to make native tribes think the now-beloved dome was haunted and inhabited by the devil himself, according to an article by Texas Parks and Wildlife Magazine.
Even without the spirits, Sharon Mosher, the dean of the Jackson School of Geosciences at the University of Texas, told TPWD that Enchanted Rock is a spectacular granite” because it contains a special mixture of minerals.
From its convergent beginnings to its stunning views, Enchanted Rock has always been a draw for explorers, scientists, hikers and adventurists alike.
