The Macedon Ranges is a region in Central Victoria, known for its expansive native forests, natural attractions such as Hanging Rock, historic villages, vibrant arts scene and thriving food and wine industries. A 45 minute drive Northwest of Melbourne City Centre It includes the towns of Clarkefield, Gisborne South, Gisborne, Kyneton, Lancefield, Macedon, Malmsbury, Mount Macedon, New Gisborne, Riddells Creek, Romsey and Woodend. It is governed and administered by the Macedon Ranges Shire Council.

The Malmsbury Viaduct is a large brick and stone masonry arch bridge over the Coliban River at Malmsbury on the Bendigo Railway in Victoria Australia. It was erected as part of the Melbourne, Mount Alexander and Murray River Railway between 1858 and 1861, and was at the time the largest masonry arch railway bridge built in Victoria. Construction of the Bendigo line commenced under the Melbourne, Mount Alexander and Murray River Railway Company in 1858, but this private consortium met with financial difficulties when it was unable to raise sufficient funds, and was bought out by the Victorian colonial government in 1860 when it formed the Victorian Railways Department.The contract for the first stage of the line from Footscray to Sandhurst , was let to Cornish and Bruce for £3,356,937.2s.2...

Kyneton is a town in the Macedon Ranges region of Victoria, Australia. The Calder Freeway bypasses Kyneton to the north and east. The town was named after the English village of Kineton, Warwickshire.The town has three main streets: Mollison Street, Piper Street and High Street. Piper Street has the oldest streetscape of these, and still has many of its original buildings. The railway station, about 91 kilometres from Melbourne on the Bendigo railway line, is a terminus for two weekday peak-hour trains. The town is the council seat of the Shire of Macedon Ranges. At the 2016 census, Kyneton recorded a population of 6,951.

We have stoped at The Memorial Cross and later continued to Hanging Rock where unfortunately it was getting too late for the whole Days walk so we decided to head again to Forest Glade Gardens situated in lovely country Victoria Mt.macedon National Park Ranges Its definitely a must see tourist destination with lots of scenic walks and things to learn about local History
