While a lot of people go the legal route, some don’t have that option and they choose to enter a specific country without proper legal documentation, which automatically turns them into illegal immigrants. For many countries, illegal immigrants have become a hot button issue.
More often than not, the most popular illegal immigrant destinations are those that are considered First World, western countries. The reason for this is that those in developing countries see these other countries as rich and full of opportunity. Democratic countries are very popular as well, especially among illegal immigrants trying to leave a place where there is a great deal of oppression. Some immigrants are even running away from abuse and genocide caused by civil wars.

10. CANADA
Like its neighbour to the south, Canada is a very popular destination for illegal immigrants because of its wide open space, low corruption, high wealth and abundant opportunities. It is estimated that there are between 35,000 and 120,000 illegal immigrants in Canada. A government report in 2008 claimed that there were at least 41,000 illegal immigrants in Canada and that is probably the most reliable data we have. As a result fear around the policies of President Donald Trump, at least 14,000 immigrants are believed to have entered Canada illegally in 2017, meaning that the total number of illegal immigrants in Canada could be higher than 50,000. However, until exits from Canada are completely tracked, this will always be guess work. (Canada has entered into an agreement with the United States to share entry information along the Canada-US border, which acts as a proxy for exit information. The agreement is still being worked out.)
9. THE PHILIPPINES
The Philippines is one of the most popular destinations for Chinese illegal immigration. It is estimated by the government there that about 100,000 illegal immigrants from China were in the country, making up 10 percent of the Chinese population of the country. A big reason for this is the country’s new entry procedures that allowed more Chinese tourists, and caused a tripling of the number of Chinese visitors to the country.
8. SOUTH KOREA
Due it is wealth, South Korea faces a lot of illegal immigration from North Korea, as well as countries like China. Twelve percent of all foreign nationals in the country are illegal immigrants, representing roughly 177,854 people. Illegal immigrants often come to the country from a wide variety of countries including those already mentioned, as well as Mongolia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and even the United States.
7. BRAZIL
With its booming economy, and location along international migration routes, it is estimated that as many 700,000 undocumented immigrants are living in Brazil. One reason that the country is proving to be a popular destination is that the government is more open to illegal immigrants than just about anywhere else. In 2009, the government legalized all immigrants in the country.

Canada and Australia are two of the largest countries in the world, so if I were to do a comparison between every city and town in both countries you may be finished reading this article sometime next year. Instead I decided to pick the two main immigration/travel destinations, Toronto and Sydney.

Who has not travelled on a budget? Who doesn´t want to get the best value for his/her money? This video includes 7 destinations that give you great value off your money on our experience.
Riga, Latvia. Baltic countries are like the Holy Grail for budget traveler in Eastern Europe. Still, it is not as tourist flooded in the summer as Prague may be for example. Riga in Latvia is a beautiful city, with beautiful architecture. Try out its summer festivals, like the Drums and Dolls Transe festival.
Chiang Mai, Thailand. Is well known for the Yee Peng or light Festival. Is the way locals pay its respects to Buddha. It is celebrated alongside of the Loi Krathong consisting in ceremonies or parades, fireworks, display of colorful lanterns and cultural highlights involving the Lanna. There are actually two main Yee Peng Lantern shows. One is free and the other is not, so get informed for dates, etc. Also, go to try a curry dish at the Sunday Market or have dinner at de night Bazaar.
Buenos Aires, Argentina. San Telmo Market is great for shopping cheap, especially if you like vintage articles, from old cameras to local crafts. Buenos Aires is also a great destination for food lovers, prices range, but you can find great local food at very low prices if you stay away from tourist flooded areas. An afternoon at Plaza Francia may be the perfect way to end an intense site seeing day. You can find free live music among other outdoor amusements for free. Perfect if you just want to have a relaxed picnic afternoon and mingling with the locals
Seoul, South Korea. This is another great food destination with excellent deals if you know where to look for them. Plenty of free site seeing. If you are a tech freak, you are going to turn nuts one you set foot at the tech market and stores. You can find great deals if you are patient.
Istanbul, Turkey. Great deal of market options if you want to grab a souvenir. Markets are also great for eating so you can grab a traditional Turkish tea with a delicious kebab and you will be living the local experience.
Warsaw, Poland. Great place to just walk around. Simply wander around this gorgeous city. Uncover its beautiful neighborhoods. You will be impressed by the amount of little museums there are to see for free as well as the amount of street art all over the city. For local food just wander away from touristy areas and you will find tasty and cheap.
Berlin, Germany. It’s probably, one of the most, if not the coolest city in Europe nowadays. Get hooked up by the Berlin vibe. Smell its history behind the Berlin Wall. Meet its cool people, its cool places and its cool food. Plenty to do in the summer like music festivals (The Gay and Lesbian city festival among many others and a handful of electro music festivals) and many museums open up.
So grab a pair of wings and take off!

Dream Destinations That Don’t Live Up to the Hype
We hate to burst your bubble, but sometimes travel fantasies are a bit out of touch with reality. You may have a preconceived notion of what a famous landmark, location or attraction will be like, inspired by scenic postcards, glossy brochures and carefully curated websites that fuel your wanderlust. But when you actually go there, it’s a bit of a let down. When hitting the world’s hot spots, it’s best to keep grandiose expectations in check.
1. Gazing at the Mona Lisa
On the must-see list of every tourist in Paris is the Louvre Museum and its famous da Vinci masterpiece, The Mona Lisa.
The trouble is, it’s a lot smaller than most people think, and the mosh pit of other tourists pushing to get their token glimpse kind of takes the grandeur out of the experience.
2. Enjoying a Romantic Gondola Ride in Venice
The reality is that it’s more like bumper boats along these waterways, as the canals are clogged with these pricey vessels. It costs about €80 for a 20-minute ride, and even more if you want a song. No local Venetian would ever be caught in one of these tourist traps.
3. Strolling the Great Wall of China
The breathtaking Great Wall of China is on many a traveler’s wishlist.
The truth is it’s more Disneyland than Ming Dynasty these days. The Badaling section closest to Beijing gets up to 70,000 visitors per day, and is complete with cable cars, pulley rides, tchotchke shops and snack bars. The less crowded Mutianyu section has cable cars and a slideway down, which may sound like fun to some visitors but it really takes away from the majesty of this historic site.
4. Soaking In an Idyllic Beach in Thailand
Stunning Maya Bay on Ko Phi Phi Lay, in particular, is the fantasy setting from The Beach that many travelers dream of escaping to.
The problem is hordes of travelers descend upon this bay, and its very popularity is what makes it less than idyllic.
5. Being Transfixed by the Taj Mahal
You can’t go to Agra, India without seeing the Taj Mahal, the marble mausoleum built by Shah Jahan in 1631 in memory of his favorite wife.
However, like most must-see attractions, you’re not going to be able to snap a selfie here without masses of other selfie-snapping tourists clamoring in the background. That and the air pollution kind of tarnishes the romance of the place.
6. Perusing the Pyramids of Giza
The reality is there’s a Pizza Hut and KFC about 300 yards north of the Sphinx. It’s also not quite the serene desertscape of your imagination. It surprises a lot of people that the Pyramids of Giza are right on the edge of a bustling, congested city. What would Tut think?
7. Tossing Coins into the Trevi Fountain
When in Rome, you simply have to stop by the Trevi Fountain to toss your coins in, just like in the movies Roman Holiday, Three Coins in the Fountain and La Dolce Vita. Bernini’s Baroque masterpiece beckons.
You’ll definitely be rubbing shoulders with masses of other coin tossers, though. With great crowds come great pickpockets, so keep your guard up while rummaging for change here. Note, gelato sellers jack their prices up around touristy places like this, too, so you might want to get your fix elsewhere.
8. Trekking to the Top of the World in Everest
Many intrepid adventurers set their sights on conquering mighty Mount Everest, or at least trekking to basecamp to see this pristine Himalayan peak up close.
Sadly, it’s not all that pristine around the world’s tallest mountain. In fact, it has the unfortunate nickname of “the world’s highest garbage dump.” Climbers often leave litter, empty oxygen bottles, shredded tents and other materials out there in their quest to make it back alive. And speaking of, there are quite a few dead bodies up there from the poor souls who didn’t make it. They say the average climber generates around 18 pounds of garbage, and they are starting to crack down on those who don’t bring back what they took up.
If you think you’ll be relatively alone at the top of the world, think again. These days, summiting Everest is a big business, and there can be traffic jams of climbers snaking their way up the peak.
9. Soaking in Iceland’s Blue Lagoon
Iceland is no longer off the beaten track, and their tourist boom has encouraged many travelers to discover it’s natural wonders like the geothermal mineral baths of the Blue Lagoon.
Located a short drive from the airport, lots of tourists are bused here during layovers, so the waters are usually pretty thick with other travel-weary bodies. It’s still pretty impressive, if you don’t mind soaking in “people soup.” Ask a local for a recommendation of a less-touristy hot spring or thermal pool if you are seeking a more authentic, less crowded mineral dip. Iceland is full of them.

Before visiting a new country, you probably search high and low for all the things you should do during your stay. But what about all the things you shouldn't do? That's why we've prepared a list of 5 things NOT to do in Spain.
1. Don't Wear Swimwear on the Streets
It's illegal to venture out on the streets while wearing just your board shorts or a bikini. So make sure you pack a cover up in your beach bag so you're not hit with a hefty fine.
2. Don't Stop for a Plainclothes Police Officer
If you get stopped by a plainclothes officer, politely ask for a uniformed officer to come to the scene. Crime is relatively low in Spain but thieves may disguise themselves as officers to catch you off guard.
3. Don't Even Think About Eating Early
Lunch is generally served from 2 to 3 p.m. When dinnertime rolls around, most major restaurants don't begin serving until 8 p.m. If you don't think your tummy can make it that long, you can always fill up on some tapas until it's time to head off to your dinner reservations.
4. Don't Pack a Bunch of Clothes
Every city has its own little district where you can find a variety of brands and some beautiful trinkets. Madrid has a popular flea market called the Rastro, and Barcelona has Las Ramblas that's full of bargains. You're gonna want some extra space in your case.
5. Mind Your Step!
Spain has a bit of a poop epidemic. In Madrid, the situation got so bad they were forced to implement a $1,700 fine for those who didn't clean up their pets' waste. Even with the fine in place, excrement is still a major problem so watch where your step!
