Millicent is a town in South Australia, 399 kilometres south-east of Adelaide, and 50 kilometres north of Mount Gambier. In the 2011 census, the population was 5,024.The town is home to the Millicent National Trust Museum, Millicent Library & Gallery, Millicent Civic & Arts Centre, the South East Family History Group, and is nearby to the Tantanoola Caves Conservation Park and the Canunda National Park. Close by is Lake Bonney SE which is home to South Australia's largest wind turbine farm. Millicent is also home to the man-made lake, Lake McIntyre, a native bird and wildlife reserve.

Tantanoola is a town in South Australia. The name is derived from the aboriginal word tentunola, which means boxwood / brushwood hill or camp. Tantanoola was originally named 'Lucieton' by Governor Jervois after his daughter Lucy Caroline, on 10 July 1879. It was changed by Governor Robinson to 'Tantanoola' on 4 October 1888. At the 2006 census, Tantanoola had a population of 255.Tantanoola is in the Wattle Range Council local government area, the South Australian House of Assembly electoral districts of MacKillop and Mount Gambier, and the Australian House of Representatives Division of Barker.

We go and explore the beautiful Blue Lake which is just over the boarder going into South Australia. Between certain months of the year it goes to this lovely turquoise blue, and then for the rest of the year it goes to a dark greyish colour.

Port Pirie is 2 and a half hours north of Adelaide in South Australia and our stay was at the 24 hour stopover for self contained vehicles at the Sports Ground.
Toilets, Water and a dump point are available.
