AUSTRALIA - Round Tour - Perth - Port Augusta - Alice Springs - Uluru - Olgas - Kalgoorlie – Perth
The footage for this film was recorded in Sep-Oct 2014, and this edit-version is from May 2018.
The 8750 km and other distances reported were my estimates based on Google Maps information. The real length of the journey was 9766 kilometres however, with an average of 250 km per day.
So apparently there was 1016 km more local driving than already taken into account in the estimate.
The total length in time was 39 days, from 20th of September until 28th of October 2014.
The Mysterious places you are not allowed to visit
10 Mysterious places on earth that you are absolutely not allowed to
visit:
1. North Sentinel Island
Well, technically you can visit this place. It’s just that you won’t return alive. The tribe on
the North Sentinel Island in Andaman India is so protective about their environment and ancient culture that they kill anybody
who even so much as drifts near the island. They are, for this reason, the most
dangerous and protected tribe in the world.
2. Vatican Secret Archives
Sure, Dan Brown has piqued your interest about the Vatican and its secrets. But this one is strictly confidential. Documents dating back to eight century and loads of official correspondence are stored deep underground, out of the peering eyes of the curious world. Some of the items here include letters from Michelangelo, a letter from Mary Queen of Scots written while she was awaiting her execution, and King Henry VIII’s request for a marriage annulment.
3. Snake Island
Proclaimed by many as the most dangerous island on earth, this place is so venomous that you’d not want visit it even if you were given a chance. Located some 20 miles off the shore of the busy Sao Paolo in Brazil, this island is home to the most deadliest snake in the world, the Golden Lancehead Viper. Its venom can eat through your flesh. And there’s about 4000 of these on this island!
4. Area 51
Great urban legends and movies have been made on this US secret facility. And though the documentaries may claim to know what is going on inside, absolutely nobody is allowed to enter this facility in Southern Nevada where the US claims to be experimenting with new aircraft and weaponry. Of course, the popular opinion is that aliens and UFOs are tested here.
5. Mezhgorye
The whole town of Mezhgorye seems to be involved in some top secret work. It is located in Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia. Many theories say that these people are working on a nuclear program or a war bunker in case of war or that it could even be a safeguard of Russian treasures. Don’t put your money on anything, just yet.
6. Woomera
Woomera Proteced Area is an Australian military testing range that is spread over 124,000 square kilometers. It is said to have a high concentration of gold, iron ore and opals in its soil. But there is also such a huge amount of unlaunched war material lying there that this place is practically a minefield.
7. Jiangsu National Security Education Museum
If you were allowed here, you’d be walking into a real spy movie at this museum that is exclusively for Chinese nationals. You’d find lipsticks with guns, maps hidden in a deck of cards and many such cool gadgets that were used by spies over all these years. Of course, the Chinese government knows better than to trust you with their sensitive information.
8. Fort Knox
What does a government do when it cannot handle the huge reserve of gold it has? Build a facility for it of course. This place in Kentucky is said to hold about 5% of all the gold ever refined in history. Visuals of endless seas of gold coins come to mind, don’t they? We’ll never know.
9. Tomb of Qin Shi Huang
This is truly a fascinating place. The tomb of Qin Shi Huang is said to be buried deep under a hill in Central China along with anything he would ever need in his life, including an army of terracotta soldiers. Many of these soldiers and statues have been excavated but it is believed that a lot many are still underground and will never be pulled out.
10. Lascaux Caves
Located in North Western France, these caves are a complex system of Paleolithic paintings that date back to 17,000 years. Although visitors were allowed here initially, since 2008, the French government has prohibited any visitors in this mystical place. It is one of the only UNESCO World Heritage sites that are out of reach for visitors.

15 Places You Are Not Allowed To Go
# 15 Places You Are Not Allowed To Go :
How does it feel when someone comes up to you and says “excuse me, sir/madam, you are not supposed to be here”? Do you feel angry or insulted, or do you try and understand why you cannot exercise your God given freedom to go anywhere on this beautiful planet that you please? At times we get angry because the people telling us that we “can’t be somewhere” have made a judgement that is totally uncalled for, or we get angry because we do not fully understand why a particular place is only reserved for a few people who are not that much better than we are. All of us always want to be treated equally, but what we want is not always relevant to the situations we are in.
Regardless of how important or how rich you think you are, there are some places where you will find hard getting through the door, simply because you do not have the membership, the security clearance, or the skills to make it through to the other side. Some restrictions are there for a very good reason, whereas others are just there for no reason at all. Regardless, there is little you can do to gain access through the doors that we so curiously crave to enter. Although there are countless places that you are not allowed to visit on this planet, here are 15 places that most of us wish we could get an opportunity to visit but can’t:
15. The Coca-Cola Recipe Vault – Georgia, USA
14. Svalbard Global Seed Vault – Norway
13. Mount Weather – Virginia, USA
12. Woomera Prohibited Area – Australia
11. Javari Reserve – Brazil
10. Area 51 – Nevada, USA
9. North Sentinel Island – Andaman Islands, Bay of Bengal
8. Disneyland’s Club 33 – New Orleans, USA
7. White’s Gentleman Club – England
6. Room 39 – Pyongyang, North Korea
5. Mezhgorye – Bashkortostan, Russia
4. Surtsey – Iceland
3. Pine Gap – Australia
2. Pripyat – Ukraine
