Sevenhill Clare Valley - Top Tourist Parks - Discover Downunder
Presenters of the television RV/lifestyle show Discover Downunder, Tim
Smith and Brooke Hanson, are visiting the first winery in South
Australia's Clare Valley, where you can enjoy outstanding wines and
experience a unique heritage and spiritual character that this place
offers. Sevenhill Winery was established by the Society of Jesus
(Jesuits) in 1851 to produce sacramental wine. Tim and Brooke are on a
guided tour checking out Sevenhill Cellars and talk to Brother John May
about the history of Sevenhills. Brooke also taste tests some red wine
created by Brother John. 30 to 40 thousand people visit the famous wine
country each year.
Discovery Parks - Clare
Discovery Parks -- Clare is a two hour drive from Adelaide, the gateway to the Eyre Peninsula and the South Australian outback.
Set out on ambling bike rides or leisurely walks along the famous Riesling Trail, indulge in fresh produce and internationally renowned wines at the myriad of cellar doors, or set off on a day trip to enjoy all the attractions of the bustling capital.
Nestled amongst 30 acres of beautiful bush, the caravan park has an abundance of features for all the family to enjoy -- whether it's the in-ground heated pool, jumping pillow, bicycle hire or various barbeque facilities.

Staying in the Clare Valley this week.
In this video we explore the valley a bit and the wineries we visited. There are just too many and as our purpose was to savour the Riesling wines these are the ones we visited and one cannot but also enjoy all the sights that the Clare valley has to offer.
Only 100km odd from Adelaide it is one of Australia's oldest wine regions and is famous for the production of Riesling wines. The valley has many boutique wineries, galleries, museums and beautiful scenery where you can spend an enjoyable time savouring the delights of this portion of South Australia.

Heading north of Adelaide this week to the Clare Valley.
One of the majestic little places to visit in the Clare Valley is the historic town of Mintaro. We spent three nights here and used this as our base to explore the valley, the wineries and all the sights that the Clare valley has to offer.
