Sequim is located along the Dungeness River near the base of the Olympic Mountains. 1. Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge Sequim
The Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge is located near the town of Sequim in Clallam County in the U.S. state of Washington, on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The refuge is composed of 772.52 acres which include Dungeness Spit, Graveyard Spit, and portions of Dungeness Bay and Harbor. Dungeness Spit is one of the world's longest natural sand spits, 6.8 miles long and very narrow. A lighthouse, the New Dungeness Light, built in 1857, is located near the end of the spit. Access to Dungeness Spit is through a Clallam County Park which has hiking trails, picnic areas, and a campground. On January 20, 1915, it was designated as a National Wildlife Refuge by President Woodrow Wilson.

The Dungeness River Bridge is the centerpiece of Railroad Bridge Park near the town of Sequim, Washington. It crosses the Dungeness River. The bridge was first constructed by the Seattle, Port Angeles, and Western Railway, a subsidiary of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad in 1916. Because of the ready availability of timber, the bridge was built of wood. This first bridge was replaced in 1930. The new bridge was also built of timber, and like its predecessor, is a through Howe truss 156 feet long and 22 feet high. Two wooden trestles are on the east and west approaches.After the Milwaukee Road's bankruptcy, the bridge was left abandoned. Weather in Port Angeles WA

Ever seen Leavenworth,WA?

Leavenworth,WA is such a beautiful place during the winter, and the summer, come take a quick trip with us to see what you're missing out on.
We stayed at Worldmark Leavenworth. A very beautiful place. 1 minute drive from the cute little Bavarian town. Right in the back yard were hills for people of all ages to sled on. Also hot tub, pool, local resturants discounts, washer and dryer access. We stayed in room Q66 and that had a fireplace, 4 beds, 3 rooms including the living-room, bluetooth speaker, DVD player, fully stocked kitchen accessories and soap for washer and dryer.

~One downfall, WIFI...I had to pay $23 for wifi for 5 devices (I only had 3) for 10 days, when I was only staying for 4 days.

Perfect get away spot, but watch out for falling ice from the buildings in the TOWN. While we were there a huge 6 block of ice fell from their 2-3 story building and smashed out someones windshield.
I highly recommend this place.
