It is located in the glacial-carved Quinault Valley of the Quinault River, at the southern edge of Olympic National Park in the northwestern United States. It is within Olympic National Park, 17 miles south of Port Angeles. Hurricane Ridge is one of only three lift serviced ski areas operating in a US National Park . It is the westernmost ski area in the continental United States. During months when snow is present, the 17 mile road leading to Hurricane Ridge is prone to avalanches due to high speed wind conditions. Park rangers may close the road leading to the snow park for a whole day.

Washington Coast | Ruby Beach, Lake Quinualt, Seabrook, & Long Beach

Our road trip along the Washington Coast and Olympic National Park with our awesome Korean Jindo dog, exploring the unique beaches of Ruby, Seabrook, Long Beach, and Lake Quinualt.

TOP TRAVEL TIPS:
*The Washington Coast is beautiful, but it is difficult to go when it's sunny, so try to go when sun is predicted in the forecast.
*Long Beach has much to offer with Cape Disappointment State Park and Beards Hallow- definitely could be done with this trip.
*Cannon Beach and the Oregon Coast is less than an hour away from Long Beach, and La Push where Second Beach is located is less than an hour away from Ruby Beach, so this drive could become an epic road trip if there is enough time.
*We left from Seattle and explored all of the stops in one day, then stayed in Long Beach, probably the nicest ocean sandy beach in Washington.

Backpacking Olympic Nat'l Park Washington | Hoh River Trail | Blue Glacier

Join Joey Coconato and I on a 3 day backpacking trip in Washington States Olympic National Park. This is the first trip here for both of us. We hike the Hoh River Trail through lush rainforest making base camp at Lewis Meadows. We then slack pack climbing over 3,700ft to the amazing Blue Glacier on day 2.
