6 Year Travel Selfie
I traveled around the world for 6 Years to over 60 countries and captured in all on video with the 360 selfie technique.
The 6 Year Travel Selfie is a follow up to my most viral video The 3 Year Epic Selfie[PART 1] released in May 2014 that featured some extreme selfies, dangerous selfies and amazing selfies and was the first video of it's kind to feature the 360 Selfie technique, to which people have said I was the first to ever do the 360 selfie technique, calling me the father of selfie. As flattering as that is I'm sure someone out there already did it before me, I didn't know about it and the idea came to me organically without ever knowing about the technique before I came up with it back in 2011 when selfie sticks weren't even a thing yet...that's why you'll see a broken tripod leg with zip ties and duct tape in Part I of the video because I had to engineer my own... however I certainly say I did popularize the technique and idea which took the internet by storm in 2014.
Because this is my claim to fame and started my digital career, I decided to pay it homage and continue it's legacy by continuing to film my travels in this fashion, and that's how this now in Part 3 was created. The 360 Selfie will always be my baby, however unpopular it is now and today, I'll always have it in a special part of my heart.

Salar De Uyuni - The Largest Salt Flat In The World!
The Salar de Uyuni, located in Bolivia, is the largest salt flat in the world. Measuring in at over 4,000 square miles, the Salar was once part of a prehistoric salt lake that covered much of Southwestern Bolivia. The lake dried up, leaving a massive layer of salt crust almost 12,000 feet above sea level.
Salar de Uyuni attracts tourists from around the world. As it is located far from the cities, a number of hotels have been built in the area. Due to lack of conventional construction materials, many of them are almost entirely (walls, roof, furniture) built with salt blocks cut from the Salar. The first such hotel was erected in 1993–1995 in the middle of the salt flat, and soon became a popular tourist destination
The Salar contains a large amount of sodium, potassium, lithium, and magnesium (all in the chloride forms of NaCl, KCl, LiCl, and MgCl2, respectively), as well as borax.
Of those, lithium is arguably most important as it is a vital component of many electric batteries. With estimated 9,000,000 tonnes (8,900,000 long tons; 9,900,000 short tons), Bolivia holds about 43% of the world's known lithium reserves; most of those are located in the Salar de Uyuni.
Amazing!
Van Horn, Texas to Guadalupe Mountains National Park
Texas 54 exits tiny Van Horn, heading north. The road gives you a great look at El Capitan and Guadalupe Peak for about a half hour before finally turning onto US 62/180 for the final few miles into Guadalupe Mountains National Park. Serious road geeks will also notice that this video begins at the western terminus of US Highway 90, which finishes its cross-country journey at Van Horn.

Pictures from the drive out west:
This road trip was done in a 7-person RV. It was a lot of fun. We had a rough plan, but not as much planning as many would think. There were some hairy moments, like the small, washed out roads on the edge of a mountain leading to the village of Mogollon, New Mexico. Which is in the middle of nowhere. We saw elk, deer, foxes, rabbits, various birds and even a B52 bomber, flying low over Amarillo, Texas!
“It’s in those quiet little towns, at the edge of the world, that you will find the salt of the earth people who make you feel right at home.”
- Aaron Lauritsen - 100 Days Drive: The Great North American Road
The journey was amazing. The scenery changes from east to west. Oklahoma and Texas are interesting. Sometimes amazingly flat. We saw huge Jesus crosses and heard The Word of God. Set foot near ancient Indian cliff dwellings, pictographs and the even ancestral land of Geronimo himself. We climbed cliff faces and searched out natural hot springs along the Gila River in pristine wilderness. We’re told stories of mountain lion and bear attacks, which helps keep one alert on the trails. We even saw a car flip over, right in front of us on a 16-lane super highway in southern CA. Ahhh, California.
The Pacific Ocean. Surfing. Sun. California!
We saw UFOs. At the Prophecy Watchers 1st annual Blessed Hope conference in Norman, Oklahoma we learned about what a UFO and aliens really are. This was an eye-opener that would set the stage for the bulk of the trip through the Wild West. We cruised along the old Route 66 and on roads barely visible on the maps. America and certainly west of the mighty Mississippi, is filled with beauty. Blessed with amazing landscapes.
The Heavens Above - Out in the open western states, the stars literally light up the night sky. The Milky Way can be seen, snaking through the evening skies and other constellations seem to come to life.
We hope our family, friends and whomever views enjoy these images. It warped into a video documentary of sorts, of traveling across this wonderful land. America is a diverse country. The differences from East to West are noticeable, yet there is a common-thread. It is more than just the English language, which some say the Founding Fathers adopted. Dare I say, it’s one Nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
