Tongala is a town in the Goulburn Valley region of northern Victoria, Australia. The town is in the Shire of Campaspe local government area, between Kyabram and Echuca, 225 kilometres north of the state capital, Melbourne. At the 2016 census, Tongala had a population of 1,926.

Tahbilk Winery is an Australian winery located 120 km north of Melbourne between the townships of Seymour and Nagambie in the Nagambie Lakes a sub region of Goulburn Valley Wine Region. It was established in 1860, and claims to be the oldest family-owned winery in Victoria. The winery is part of Australia's First Families of Wine, a prominent Australian wine alliance.

On the 10th June 2017, Seymour Heritage Railway Centre hired out 707 Operations Inc's R707 City Of Melbourne Hudson Steam locomotive on their annual Steam Tour to Echuca from Seymour. A very pleasant day to go out and train chase, and it was ideal seeing I had not chased on the Toolamba line before. I must conclude it was a very nice line to chase the train, with wonderful scenery, and plenty of opportunities to capture the train. Furthermore, seeing it has been a while since SHRC ran a steam tour, it made it more of an occasion to go out and film. I look forward to revisiting this line round the same time next month, when Steamrail's Echuca Explorer uses the same stretch of track.
