Boort is a town in Victoria, Australia, located next to Lake Boort, in the Shire of Loddon. The town is known for its native birdlife. Boort is a local Aboriginal word meaning Smoke from the hill. Main sources of employment are retail, olive processing and tourism. Agriculture is a major industry and employer in the Boort region. Produce includes cereal crops, tomatoes, canola, olives and wool.

1. Flying Boat Museum Lake Boga
Lake Boga Flying Boat Base was a Royal Australian Air Force flying boat base at Lake Boga, Victoria, Australia during World War II. When the Imperial Japanese attacked Darwin and Broome in 1942 resulting in the loss of 16 flying boats, the establishment of a safe haven for flying boats was required inland as a remote facility outside the sphere of Japanese airplanes. Lake Boga was picked as it allowed almost unlimited choice of landing/take off directions and was free of obstructions. It was also close to nearby infrastructure. Required for Australian, Royal Netherlands East Indies Air Force and United States flying boat servicing and repairs, Lake Boga was commissioned in June 1942. This is a quick walk around the Easter market held by The Lions Club in Charlton Victoria, Australia on Monday the 6th of April 2015.

Charlton is a small rural town of approximately 950 people, on the edge of the Mallee in the north west of the state. Nonetheless. this market attracts a good number of traders, these being locals, from surrounding areas & from interstate. It also attracts lots of buyers from the town & surrounding areas.
