Sinopse
Este documentário leva a um mergulho na pré-história : há milhões de anos, na região de Taubaté, existiu um lago onde viveu rica fauna, com aves de até dois metros de altura.
Os primeiros colonizadores portugueses já transitavam pelo vale a caminho das Minas, mas uma ocupação mais intensa só ocorrerá com a expansão das lavouras de café.
Os casarios estabelecidos onde pousavam as tropas de burros definiram a vocação deste corredor de passagem. Vilarejos que tardaram a se desenvolver, até que a via Dutra e a multiplicação das indústrias atraíssem novos habitantes. Hoje são milhões ao longo do rio, uma urbanização caótica, carregada de ameaças.
Até o início do século XX o Paraíba do Sul teve preservadas suas condições naturais. Nos últimos 50 anos cresceram as agressões: ao lançamento da carga de esgotos domésticos e de dejetos industriais, soma-se a extração de areia.
O documentário procura aguçar a consciência de que é preciso agir já, para resgatar a integridade do venerável Paraíba do Sul.

This documentary takes a dive into pre-history: millions of years ago, in the region of Taubaté, there was a lake where rich fauna lived, with poultry of up to two meters high.
The first Portuguese colonizers already transited around the valler on their way to the Mines, but a more intense occupancy will only occur with the expansion of the coffee plantations.
The houses established where the troops rested defined the vocation of this passage corridor. Villages which took longer to develop, until Dutra expressway and the multiplication of the industries attracted new inhabitants. Today, there are millions along the river, a chaotic urbanization, loaded with threats.
Until the beginning of the 20th century the, Paraíba do Sul river had its natural conditions preserved. In the past 50 years, the aggressions grew: to the release of industrial garbage and domestic sewage load, the extraction of sand is added.
The documentary seeks to raise the awareness that we must act now, in order to recover the integrity of the venerable Paraíba do Sul.

Super Metal mostra o novo som do Kreator

O Ginásio da Portuguesa será a sede nacional do thrash metal hoje. O grupo alemão Kreator e mais cinco bandas nacionais tocam no ginásio às 21h. O evento foi batizado de Super Metal Festival. A seleção brasileira de thrash para hoje é formada
por Krisiun (RS), P.U.S. (DF), Korzus (SP), The Mist (MG) e Volkana (DF).
Formado em 1984, o Kreator se apresenta pela segunda vez no Brasil. Eles estiveram por aqui em 92, época em que lançaram o disco Coma Of Souls.
Com oito discos já lançados, a banda vai destacar no show de hoje as músicas que fazem parte de Renewal, seu último trabalho.
O som que a banda faz hoje é influenciado pelo trabalho do grupo norte-americano Ministry. Como a banda americana, o Kreator está inserindo elementos da música eletrônica e industrial em seu thrash.
Preparando seu quarto disco, o Korzus é a atração nacional com mais experiência internacional, entre os grupos que se apresentam hoje. A banda já tocou na Inglaterra, França, Alemanha e Portugal.
Célebres pela versão que fizeram para o hit Pet Sematary dos Ramones, as brasilienses do Volkana trazem a voz de Cláudia França como novidade. No repertório de seu show, o Volkana vai mostrar as músicas de seu segundo disco, Mindtrips, que será lançado este mês.
Também de Brasília vem o P.U.S. (sigla para porrada ultrasuicida). De malas prontas para uma turnê européia, a banda –liderada pela loirinha Si Young– está lançando Sin Is The Only Salvation.
Ainda sem disco na praça, os gaúchos da Krisium vão mostrar na Portuguesa seu grindcore com pitadas de death metal. Também influenciados pelo Ministry, os mineiros do The Mist mostram o thrash metal industrial que dá força às músicas de Ashes To Ashes, Dust To Dust, terceiro disco do grupo.
Os grupos brasileiros estão felizes por abrirem o show do Kreator. A banda alemã é pé-quente. Em 91, o Sepultura costumava abrir show deles.
Na cidade de Tietê-SP estão pintando as ruas de azul para amenizar o calor. Com a pintura a temperatura reduz em 10°C.

EPZs
The EPZs “Export Processing Zones” are areas designed to encourage the installation of companies producing goods to be exported. For that, they are entitled to tax, foreign exchange and administrative incentives being considered primary zones for purposes of customs control.
Brazil is a high growth-potential country. Brazil has the principal and the most diversified industrial base of Latin America. It’s the 2nd food exporter in the world and has the largest area of arable land on the planet, with unique climate and soils.
In order to attract investment, create jobs, add value to national production, increase exports and promote economic and social development of the Country, EPZs have been created.
“Paulista EPZ”
São Paulo is the main state of the Federation with 1/3 of Brazil’s GPD; in South America it holds the 2nd GPD and (it) is the 3rd largest exporter. It’s the (business) economic center of Latin America.
Among 645 municipalities, FERNANDÓPOLIS was approved for the installation of the “Paulista” EPZ for its exceptional strategic-logistics conditions, and for having the best indexes of human development and quality of life throughout the region. It occupies the 50th place in the HDI of 5,565 cities of Brazil and the 1st among 96 municipalities in the Administrative region of São José do Rio Preto.
Fernandópolis is the center of a vibrant and growing “Development Corridor” that was formed among the Northwest of São Paulo, the Midwestern states and the “Triângulo Mineiro” (Minas Triangle) after the construction of major bridges over the rivers that separate the four states: rivers “Grande”, “Paranaíba” and “Paraná”, whose bridge is a road-rail.
These works prompted the expansion of the road network of the neighboring states, generating a surge of progress for the involved regions, hence boosting cargo traffic, commerce and the provision of services.
Cargo traffic as well as traffic from major highways of this macro-region flow into Fernandópolis, making it the Portal and the City-leader of this immense territory.
Fernandópolis is also its Logistics and Strategic Core, because in its territory and nearby are:
-The Waterways of the “Tietê-Paraná-Grande” and the “Paranaíba-Paraná-Tietê”;
-The railroads: ALL, “América Latina Logística”, and North-South (Norte-Sul), intersecting the 06 km of urban area, providing transportation to the 4 corners of the country.
-The highways: “Euclides da Cunha” - SP320, linking to Mato Grosso do Sul and “Perci Waldir Semeghini” - SP543, which leads to the State of “Minas Gerais”.
-Almost all road traffic in the Midwest and part of the northern region to São Paulo leads to Fernandópolis since it is the shortest route and the best quality path.
