Koblenz Attractions and Ehrenbreitstein Fortress
There are loads of awesome Koblenz attractions and Ehrenbreitstein Fortress is undoubtedly the most famous one. Koblenz a beautiful historic Rhine River city in South West Germany.
Koblenz is situated on the intersection of the Moselle River and the Rhine River, and his home to some eye-popping site seeing. And the main attraction in town is the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. Koblenz is also home to a wonderfully romantic old town area, which is in itself a maze of narrow streets. The old town is also home to heaps of beautiful architecture and some great fountains and statues.

Adorable and Charming Town #3: Koblenz on the Rhine
It's not for nothing that millions of travelers begin or end a cruise on the Rhine in Koblenz, which owes its name to the Romans who constructed a castle here around 9BC.
Just another drop-dead adorable medieval town with good food, excellent wine, reasonably priced accommodation, and so much to see! Walk through the old town, parks; into museums, churches; bike and/or along the Deutsches Eck promenade on the Rhine and Mosel Rivers.

Adorable and Charming Town #5: Sheila's Favorite Oberwesel on the Rhine
Both Oberwesel and St. Goar are in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley (I still think “Upper - Middle” is an oxymoron), and an ideal starting point for walks on foot or by bicycle, car, rail or boat up and down the Rhine and its regions.
Out of the 9-10 medieval towns visited on this holiday, it is a close tie between Oberwesel and Rhens as to the best of the best with Oberwesel slightly ahead. Just amazing...
Hiking the Rheinsteig Trail Germany 2016
When my cousin Kevin asks me if I wanna go on a wee adventure, I usually say yes. This time we flew to Frankfurt to hike 40km of the river Rhein via the Rheinsteig trail (approx 300km overall!). There was a lot of drinking done in Frankfurt, where we 'accidentally' spent most of the nights in O'Reillys Irish bar (it was open late ok).
We stayed in Frankfurt Hostel:
