Tordera is a city in the comarca of Maresme, province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, situated 64 km from Barcelona and 36 km from Girona on the edge of the Montnegre natural park. Its population as of 2010 was 15,641. The economy used to be based on agriculture, especially cork production, but has diversified into textile manufacturing and construction. The Tordera River flows through the town. The Romanesque church of Saint Stephen is situated in the town centre: part of the altar is original, but the rest of the building was renovated in the 16th and 18th centuries.

La Fosca is a beach in the Mediterranean Costa Brava, located in the comarca of Baix Empordà, in the province of Girona, Catalonia, Spain. La Fosca is between Palamós and Cala S'Alguer. Throughout most of the year very few people live there, but in summer the population of La Fosca grows quickly. La Fosca is located at the northern end of a large bay, which is popular for swimming, sailing and windsurfing. The town is by-passed by the C31 which connects the coastal towns of the central Costa Brava with Girona. Palafrugell lies 8.5 km to the north and Castell-Platja d'Aro 7 km to the south. La Fosca beach is known for the enormous rock in the middle of it, which separate the beach in two beaches: La fosca beach and patja del carrer. Lloret de Mar - The liveliest city on the Costa Brava

Lloret de Mar is situated in the southern part of the Costa Brava, 70 kilometres to the north east of Barcelona.

The city of Barcelona and its airport El Prat can be reached by train, with connections going further beyond. The local airport is at Girona, which is just 35 motoring minutes away.

This is one of the Mediterraneans most popular resorts and certainly the liveliest holiday spot on this stretch of the Spanish coastline. The former fisherman’s village covers 48 square kilometres, and has five main beaches along a 7 kilometre of coastline.

BEACH HOLIDAY IN SPAIN

I visited Pineda de Mar which is around an hour long train ride from Barcelona. This place is less touristy compared to other towns in Costa Brava region. The beach is amazing and clean and one can see nude beaches on the way from Barcelona.

Originally constructed to spot marauders at sea, the walled medieval Castillo de Tossa de Mar now looks out over the much less menacing scene of locals and vacationers lazing on the wide beach below.

This castle-cum-lighthouse on the top of Mt. Guardí dates back to the 12th century, and you can reach it via a walk or a short tram ride up the hill. Once at the Castillo de Tossa de Mar , stand by the cannons pointing out over the cliff to imagine yourself defending the city against medieval pirates.
