Europa-Park is a theme park and the largest in Germany, and the second most popular theme park resort in Europe, following Disneyland Paris. Europa-Park is located in Rust, in south-western Germany, between Freiburg and Strasbourg, France. The park is home to 13 roller coasters, the oldest being Alpenexpress Enzian, a powered coaster that speeds through a diamond mine, and the newest coaster being the Ba-a-a Express, a small kiddie roller coaster. Europa-Park has very high capacity roller coasters and attractions meaning the park can accommodate up to approx. 60,000 guests per day. It counted just over 5.6 million visitors in 2017.It is also the location of the Euro Dance Festival.

Heidelberg Castle is a ruin in Germany and landmark of Heidelberg. The castle ruins are among the most important Renaissance structures north of the Alps. The castle has only been partially rebuilt since its demolition in the 17th and 18th centuries. 4. Lichtentaler Allee Baden Baden
The Lichtentaler Allee is a historic park and arboretum set out as a 2.3 kilometer strolling avenue along the west bank of the river Oos in Baden-Baden, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is open daily without charge. The avenue is said to have begun in 1655 as path between the town market and Lichtenthal monastery. It was developed from 1850-1870 at the instigation of the casino Bénazet, and planted with a wide variety of trees and woody plants. Today the avenue contains about 300 types of native and exotic woody plants, including alders, azaleas, chestnuts, ginkgos, limes, magnolias, maples, oaks, and sycamores. The avenue terminates at its northwest end in a kurgarten, and at the southeast in a dahlia garden containing busts of Clara Schumann, Johannes Brahms, and Robert Stolz.

The Titisee is a lake in the southern Black Forest in Baden-Württemberg. It covers an area of 1.3 km2 and is an average of 20 m deep. It owes its formation to the Feldberg glacier, the moraines of which were formed in the Pleistocene epoch and nowadays form the shores of the lake. The lake's outflow, at 840 m above sea level, is the River Gutach, which merges with the Haslach stream below Kappel to form the Wutach). The waters of the Titisee thus drain eventually into the Upper Rhine between Tiengen and Waldshut. On the north shore lies the spa town of the same name, today a part of the municipality of Titisee-Neustadt.

The Stiftskirche is a church located in Tübingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is a late gothic structure built by Peter von Koblenz in 1470. The stained glass windows were designed by Peter Hemmel of Andlau who also designed windows in Ulm, Augsburg, Nürnberg, München and Straßburg. It is the central landmark and, along with the rest of the city, the Stiftskirche was one of the first to convert to Martin Luther's Protestant church. It lies at the northwestern border of the Black Forest mountain range on the small river Oos, just 10 km (6 mi) east of the Rhine, the border line to France, and about 40 km (25 mi) north-east of Strasbourg, France. The springs at Baden-Baden were known to the Romans as Aquae (The Waters).

In modern German, Baden is a gerund meaning bathing but Baden, the original name of the town, derives from an earlier plural form of Bad (bath).

Destination: Baden-Baden

The famous spa town of Baden-Baden lies close to the French border, where the Black Forest rises from the Rhine valley. Famous for its hot mineral springs and its spa architecture, it is a popular destination for the discerning (and rich) tourist.

Notes: The casino in the Kurhaus is open for guided tours in the mornings. In the afternoons and evenings, there is a dress code (jeans are allowed, but gentlemen must wear jacket and tie). There is also an entrance fee.

Tourist information is located in the pump room (Trinkhalle).

Paragliding from the Merkur is subject to strict regulations, including mandatory briefing and membership of the local paragliding club: a temporary membership for one day can be obtained at the base station of the funicular. Details (in German only) on the club wesite at

For the buses, the Citysolo ticket costs €5.60 (correct as of June 2013) and is good for all bus journeys within Baden-Baden for the whole day. Buses 201, 205, 216, 218, 243, 244 and 245 all run from the station into town. Buses 204 and 205 run from the town centre to Merkurwald for the funicular to the Merkur. (All details correct as of June 2013).
