The third of three hilltop castles on the site, it is located atop Mount Hohenzollern, above and south of Hechingen, on the edge of the Swabian Jura of central Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The first fortress on the mountain was constructed in the early 11th century. Over the years the House of Hohenzollern split several times, but the castle remained in the Swabian branch, the dynastic seniors of the Franconian-Brandenburgian cadet branch that later acquired its own imperial throne. This castle was completely destroyed in 1423 after a ten-month siege by the free imperial cities of Swabia. Eigentlich wollte ich zunächst in das Römerbad in Hüfingen, aber dies ist noch bis Mai 2015 geschlossen. Deshalb heute zunächst ein Rundgang durch die Altstadt von Hüfingen und im Mai kommt dann noch das imposante Bad aus der Zeit des römischen Reichs. Wir starten an der Insel und gehen über die Hauptstrasse bis zur Pfarrhausstrasse und dann wieder alles zurück.

Wir beginnen unseren Rundgang durch Lahr im Schwarzwald in der Brestenbergstraße. Dann geht es über die Friedrichstraße und die Marktstraße bis zur Bismarckstraße. Über die Kreuzstraße geht es am Storchenturm vorbei. Danach geht es über den Schloßplatz bis zum Marktplatz. Über die Schillerstraße geht es schließlich wieder zurück in die Friedrichstraße.

Wir starten unseren Rundgang vor dem Gasthof Alpsee in Bühl am Großen Alpsee bei Immenstadt. Wir gehen durch die Seestraße vor bis zur Seepromenade and hinüber zur Minigolfanlage. Anschließend geht es über die Kirchsteige hinauf zur Pfarrkirche St. Stephan und dann hinunter in die Gruft der Grabeskirche.

Wir starten mit dem Rundgang auf dem Parkplatz, welcher ziemlich leer war. In diesem Jahr fehlten deutlich erkennbar die Touristen aus China und Indien. Wir starten in der Hauptstrasse und gehen durch den Ortskern und dann wieder zurück bis zum Parkplatz.
