Black Forest
A driving tour of the northern part of the Black Forest in southern Germany. Our base is in Durbach close to Offenburg and we visit the attractive medieval towns of Gengenbach, Altensteig, Calw, Haslach, Wolfach and Schiltach. Also a day in the French city of Strasbourg.

Black Forest
A driving tour of the Black Forest in southern Germany, firstly staying at Titisee in the south, from where we visit Triberg and it's waterfalls, Waldkirch and the city of Freiburg. We then visit the nearby Lake Schluchsee, Altglashutten, Lenzkirch and Loffingen. Travelling north, we then pass through St Margen, St Peter and Haslach, before reaching our second base in the north of the Forest at Durbach. From here we visit the towns of Offenburg, Hausach, and Villingen, and the lovely villages of Gengenbach and Schiltach.

Scholss Stauffenberg - a German castle in the Black Forest area, is a hidden gem. To reach this castle, I started from the base and took an 8 km route through the forest. All the Hiking trails are well traced.You can reach the top with a car as well. The Scholss Stauffenberg offers amazing views of the wine valley around, and the restaurant at the castle is a perfect place to enjoy local Baden dishes and a superior wine. Hope you will enjoy the video as much as I did walking through the black forest.

STREET VIEW: Innenstadt von Offenburg in GERMANY
Wir starten auf der Brücke über dem Mühlbach in der Hauptstraße von Offenburg. Wir gehen die Hauptstraße entlang bis zur Stadtkirche Offenburg. Dann ging es weiter über die Okenstrasse und den Zwingerplatz in die Wasserstraße. Von dort ging es dann über die Wolkengasse an der Kreuzkirche vorbei bis zum Marktplatz. Vom Marktplatz ging es weiter über die Kornstraße bis zum Park am Mühlbachtal.
Offenburg is at the western end of the Black Forest in Germany and nearby to the French border and the French city of Straßbourg.

Bad Pyrmont, City under the Palms - Pure Relaxation
Bad Pyrmont is a place in the German state of Lower Saxony. This spa town in the Weserbergland is renowned for its medicinal sources. Many celebrities like the Russian tsar Peter the Great have enjoyed this peaceful place. In Bad Pyrmont, Dutch king Willem III also asked his second wife Emma to marry him. The Brunnenplatz with the Hylligen Born and the Walking Hall are the center of the city, along with the cozy pedestrian zone, the large castle garden and the paved watercourse.

Bad Pyrmont is een plaats in de Duitse deelstaat Nedersaksen. Deze kuurstad in het Weserbergland is vermaard vanwege de geneeskrachtige bronnen. Vele beroemdheden zoals de Russische tsaar Peter de Grote, hebben hier van hun rust genoten. In Bad Pyrmont vroeg ook de Nederlandse koning Willem III zijn tweede vrouw Emma ten huwelijk. De Brunnenplatz met de Hylligen Born en de Wandelhal zijn het middelpunt van de stad, tezamen met de gezellige voetgangerszone, de grote kasteeltuin en de geplaveide waterloop.
