Lörrach German pronunciation: [ˈlœrax] is a city in southwest Germany, in the valley of the Wiese, close to the French and the Swiss borders. It is the capital of the district of Lörrach in Baden-Württemberg. The largest industry is the Milka chocolate factory. The city had a population of 10,794 in 1905 and of 47,707 in 2007. Nearby is the castle of Rötteln on the Wiesental, whose lords became the counts of Hachberg and a residence of the Margraves of Baden; this was destroyed by the troops of Louis XIV in 1678, but was rebuilt in 1867. Rötteln Castle , located above the Lörrach suburb of Haagen, lies in the extreme southwest corner of the German state of Baden-Württemberg just 10 kilometres north-east of the Swiss City of Basel. The fortification was one of the most powerful in the southwest, and today is the third largest castle ruin in Baden.The ruins of the castle are situated on a widely visible forested hill 422 metres above sea level. The keep lies on a spur projecting from the steep sided east side of the lower Wiese valley.

The Lörrach Sculpture Path is a Sculpture trail of 23 works and fountains through the southern German city of Lörrach. In 1986 extensive urban planning changes were made in the city. A busy main road was decommissioned in favour of a pedestrian street. The city was transformed with the goal of making Lörrach into a culturally attractive town in the Swiss-French-German border region. The sculpture trail, with works by both international and local artists, was commissioned. The route begins at the cultural centre Burghof Lörrach with a truncated pyramid by Bruce Nauman. The trail takes a circular route past Dreiländermuseum, the town hall and the market.

The Titisee is a lake in the southern Black Forest in Baden-Württemberg. It covers an area of 1.3 km2 and is an average of 20 m deep. It owes its formation to the Feldberg glacier, the moraines of which were formed in the Pleistocene epoch and nowadays form the shores of the lake. The lake's outflow, at 840 m above sea level, is the River Gutach, which merges with the Haslach stream below Kappel to form the Wutach). The waters of the Titisee thus drain eventually into the Upper Rhine between Tiengen and Waldshut. On the north shore lies the spa town of the same name, today a part of the municipality of Titisee-Neustadt.

Sie gelang den Erbauen dermaßen prächtig, dass sie hintereinanderweg ein halbes Dutzend Design- und Architekturpreise für Brücken einheimste. Mehr geht wohl nicht.
Am anderen Ufer - dem französischen - sind es vom Brückenkopf ganze 150 Meter zum Place Abbatucci. An der Ecke dort im Restaurant Le Vauban lernen Sie nicht nur Chefin Isabelle Godhbane kennen (ein echtes Hüninger Original), sondern auch ihre herrlichen, hausgemachten Elsässer Flammkuchen. Mit Zwiebeln, Speck, Pilzen und Käse - hmmm! Einer für Sie inklusive Getränk ist beim Spar mit!-Paket schon dabei.
