1. Marksburg Castle Braubach
The Marksburg is a castle above the town of Braubach in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is one of the principal sites of the Rhine Gorge UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fortress was used for protection rather than as a residence for royal families. It has a striking example of a bergfried designed as a butter-churn tower. Of the 40 hill castles between Bingen am Rhein and Koblenz the Marksburg was the only one which was never destroyed.

Burgruine Landshut Bernkastel-Kues 2018

Burg Landshut was first mentioned in the 4th century AD as a Roman castle on the Moselle. Since a tragic fire in 1682, the current castle ruin was not rebuilt.
The city of Bernkastel-Kues has renovated the object in a laborious 3-year work and expanded. Regardless of the extra effort, the castle ruin is now barrier-free thanks to the use of local politics and various subsidies.

Die Burg Landshut wurde erstmals im 4. Jahrhundert nach Christus als römisches Castel an der Mosel erwähnt. Seit einem tragischen Brand 1682 wurde die heutige Burgruine nicht wieder aufgebaut.
Die Stadt Bernkastel-Kues hat das Objekt in mühevoller 3-jähriger Arbeit saniert und ausgebaut. Ungeachtet des Mehraufwandes, ist die Burgruine nun dank des Einsatzes der Lokalpolitik und verschiedener Förderungen barrierefrei zugänglich.
