In this episode we arrive in Germany. We meet up with our friends Neele & Timo who take us to the town of Wunstorf. A lovely little town and we had a wonderful morning exploring it before sampling some of the goodies from the local bakery.
We were treated to a lovely sunset over a nearby lake.
Then in the morning we had to stop Trudy as we saw a UFO in the sky. What was it that we saw ??

In case you don't know us - let us introduce ourselves - we are Chris (48) & Marianne (51). We recently quit our jobs and sold our belongings to travel full time.
After more than 22 years of marriage we are still best friends - (there's a travel couple goal for you).
The aim is we are going to step foot in every country in the world before we die - or die trying !. We are currently also planning an epic around the world road trip. So stayed tuned for more clips as we TREAD the Globe in either Trudy the TREAD camper van or armed with our backpacks!

Hannover - as seen from another point of view - Version 2

Due to music restrictions on YouTube the first version of our Hannover film was unable to play on mobile devices. This second version has been complemented with some extra scenes and new music.
This has been a fun and challenging project - one challenging part was flying the quadrocopter in the middle of the city centre and in front of the main train station without hitting the overhead lighting. It has been an interesting experience seeing the city we have lived in for many years from a different perspective and sometimes noticing particular buildings or monuments for the first time.
Many thanks to the Management of the Herrenhausen Gardens for kindly allowing us to film in this spectacular location.

Aufgrund der Musikrechte konnte unser erstes Video nicht auf Mobilgeräten abgespielt werden. Deshalb diese neue Version mit anderer Musik und zusätzlichen Szenen.
Unsere Heimatstadt Hannover erschien uns als interessantes Projekt, um mit unserem neuen Quadrokopter (Spitzname Thommy 2) etwas Routine zu bekommen. Das Fliegen mitten in der City und direkt vor dem Hauptbahnhof mit kreuzweise verspannten Lichtkabeln war schon eine Herausforderung. Auch wenn wir bereits ewig in Hannover leben, so vermitteln uns diese ungewohnten und spannenden Perspektiven ganz neue und manchmal unverhoffte Einblicke in unsere Stadt.
Besonderer Dank an das Management der Herrenhäuser Gärten für die freundliche Erlaubnis, dort zu fliegen und zu drehen.
Wir hoffen, Euch gefällt dieser kleine Rundflug in und um Hannover. An diesen Orten haben wir gefilmt:
Stadtwald Eilenriede, Stadtteil List, Stammhaus Bahlsen und der „Goldene Keks (nach der Entführung wieder sicher zurück), Neues Rathaus, Maschsee mit Stadion, Waterloosäule, Leibniz-Universität, Herrenhäuser Gärten, Altstadt, Leineufer, Hauptbahnhof, Oper, die Buchholzer Windmühle am Mittellandkanal und der Jachthafen.

In dieser Folge zeigen wir die Stadt Nienburg an der Weser. Die Stadt liegt unmittelbar an der Weser im Zentrum Niedersachsens zwischen Hannover (51 km) und Bremen (64 km). Sie ist die größte Stadt in der Mittelweserregion. In einem gesonderten Beitrag besuchen wir das Niedersächsische Polizeimuseum und zeigen hier einige Exponate.
