The Externsteine [ˈɛkstɐnʃtaɪnə] is a distinctive sandstone rock formation located in the Teutoburg Forest, near the town of Horn-Bad Meinberg in the Lippe district of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. We only had 24 hours! It all started with a hike on top of a rocky mountain surrounded only by an endless pine forest and the shiny sunset illuminating us at its best time of the day. Later, a trip through the pine forest led us to the biggest hanging bridge in Europe. The fear of passing through this bridge was nothing compared to the fear of bungee jumping in the middle of it, like Phil did. Hours later we were following by air an old steam train crossing through the huge forest and leaving only a smoke trail on top of the pines. At the end, a 33 degree Celsius mountain hike was well worth the amazing view from the top of the tower showing us a landscape that we'll never forget. This is the story of my most recent video at the Harz Mountains in Germany.
