Bevern is a municipality in the District of Holzminden, Lower Saxony, Germany. It is the adminsitrative seat of the Samtgemeinde of Bevern. Bevern lies on the Weser river near its confluence with the Beverbach tributary, located between the Burgberg, Solling and Vogler hill ranges of the Weser Uplands. The municipal area comprises the villages of Bevern proper, Forst, Dölme, Lobach, Lütgenade, and Reileifzen. The Saxon settlement of Byueran was first mentioned in a register of Corvey Abbey in 822.
