Biberach is a town in the south of Germany. It is the capital of Biberach district, in the Upper Swabia region of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. To distinguish it from the other towns of the same name it is called Biberach an der Riss after the small river Riss which flows through the city .

1. Castle of Hohenzollern Hechingen
Hohenzollern Castle is the ancestral seat of the imperial House of Hohenzollern. The third of three hilltop castles on the site, it is located atop Mount Hohenzollern, above and south of Hechingen, on the edge of the Swabian Jura of central Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The first fortress on the mountain was constructed in the early 11th century. Over the years the House of Hohenzollern split several times, but the castle remained in the Swabian branch, the dynastic seniors of the Franconian-Brandenburgian cadet branch that later acquired its own imperial throne. This castle was completely destroyed in 1423 after a ten-month siege by the free imperial cities of Swabia. A larger and sturdier structure was constructed from 1454 to 1461, which served as a refuge for the Catholic Swabian Hohenz...

STREET VIEW: Biberach an der Riß in GERMANY

Wir haben in der Tiefgarage des Museums in Biberach geparkt. Das ist für einen Rundgang durch die historische Altstadt sehr praktisch. Wir starten mit dem Videowalk am Museum und gehen über die Museumsstraße in den Innenhof des Museums. Anschließend gehen wir über den Marktplatz mit den schönen Häusern. Durch die Karpfengasse gehen wir bis zur Schrannengasse und dann wieder zurück auf den Marktplatz und rund um die Kirche bis zur Bachstraße.

Biberach is a very beautiful old German town in the south of Germany. It is quite well known for its Thomapyrin sleeping pills.

Cycling the Donau Bodensee Radweg in Germany - Day 1 Ulm to Biberach

The first day of cycling the Donau-Bodensee Radweg from the city of Ulm to Biberach. My route included a quick stop in the town of Laupheim.
This cycling route is a great way to see the Oberschwaben region of Germany, leaving the River Danube and heading to Lake Constance. You could include it as a side tour if you were cycling the along the River Danube trail, or make it the focus of an enjoyable week long cycling holiday in Germany.
