2. EderseeWaldeck The Edersee Dam is a hydroelectric dam spanning the Eder river in northern Hesse, Germany. Constructed between 1908 and 1914, it lies near the small town of Waldeck at the northern edge of the Kellerwald. Breached by Allied bombs during World War II, it was rebuilt during the war, and today generates hydroelectric power and regulates water levels for shipping on the Weser river. At low water in late summers of dry years the remnants of three villages and a bridge across the original river bed submerged when the lake was filled in 1914 can be seen. 3. HermannsdenkmalDetmold The Hermannsdenkmal is a monument located southwest of Detmold in the district of Lippe, in Germany. It stands on the densely forested Grotenburg, sometimes also called the Teutberg or Teut, a hill in the Teutoburger Wald range. The monument is located inside the remains of a circular rampart. The monument was constructed between 1838 and 1875 to commemorate the Cherusci war chief Arminius and his victory over Rome at the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest in 9 AD. When the statue was built, its location was believed to be near the original battle site, although experts now consider it more likely that the battle took place near Kalkriese, about 100 km to the north-west. 1968 wurde das Museum für moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst in der ostwestfälische Stadt Bielefeld eröffnet. Architekt: Philip Johnson. Website: In english:
Vor dem Gebäude und im anliegenden Skulpturenpark entdeckt der Besucher u.a. Skulpturen von AUGUSTE RODIN, HENRY MOORE, RICHARD SERRA, ÓLAFUR ELÍASSON und anderen modernen Bildhauern. Für die Jubiläumsfeier wurde der Park pünktlich umgestaltet und eingeweiht. Von der Veranstaltung sehen wir einen Ausschnitt des Bielefelder Tanztheaters.
Michael Hecks ist Intendant des Theaters Bielefeld. Das Tanzensemble des Bielefelder Theaters unter der Leitung von GREGOR ZÖLLIG führte eine speziell für den Park mit seinen Skulpturen konzipierte Tanzperformance Enthüllung in Orange auf.
