There are so many unique and interesting places to explore in Germany, but Hamburg is really where you need to go. The charming historic city is visually stunning, filled with a steeple-dotted skyline. With one of the biggest harbors in Europe, Hamburg also boasts more canals than Venice, Italy, which makes jumping on a boat cruise a must. Take a tip from us and book your visit through a Sunday so you can wake up to the famed fish market that will have you cheering prost!

Exploring Hamburg Germany at Reichshof Hamburg Day 1 October 2015
Exploring Hamburg Germany at Reichshof Hamburg Day 1: I loved my stay in Hamburg Germany. I can highly recommend the Reichshof Hamburg. It is centrally located--literally across the road from the central railway station. It was a lovely ten minute walk to Lake Alster. You can watch the birds, take out a boat or go for a stroll.
Dine at Reichshof Hamburg: Breakfast was fantastic, Saturday night dinner is ROCK & COOK and the tea and coffee is made with water from a special spring: Lueneburger Heide. See more about all of these things in my other Hamburg videos.
It was gorgeous to walk at night to dinner and I loved Bar 1910 on property where they make great Dark & Stormys or Moscow Mules. Enjoy your stay in Hamburg! Lisa

Touring the Schanzenviertel in Hamburg Germany
Touring the Schanzenviertel in Hamburg Germany with Nina and Kate was a great afternoon adventure. I was told that the Schanzenviertel is a former working class neighborhood that has transitioned into the
epicenter for the hip Hamburg scene. It’s the locals pick for having some of the “coolest” bars, restaurants and boutiques. I loved the street art, the vibe and the cafes. We found a store that was selling shirts that said refugees welcome as about 400 Syrian refugees are arriving in Hamburg daily at this time.
Nina, Kate and I went a velo taxi tour in the morning, then to the new UNESCO site of Speicherstadt & Kontorhaus District. I really enjoyed my time in Hamburg!

A Stay At Hotel Baseler Hof, Hamburg, Germany
Visiting Hamburg, Germany during the Christmas Markets season, we stayed at the centrally located Hotel Baseler Hof. The 4-star hotel is still family owned and has been open for over 100 years.
The hotel was quite centrally located, being only a few yards from a U-Bahn station and less than 10 minutes from the Hamburg Rathaus and the Rathausmarkt square. The hotels is also close to the luxury shopping streets of Neuer Wall and Jungfernstieg.

48 hours in Hamburg
We (Eli & Guigui) visited the beautiful city of Hamburg during one weekend. Although it is not a very popular city tripping city, we were really charmed by the cute centre, the various romantic canals ans modern architecture near the harbor. The Miniatur Wunderland Museum was defenitely worth a visit!
