Germany: The City of Schweinfurt
Schweinfurt is a city in the Lower Franconia region of Bavaria in Germany on the right bank of the navigable Main River, 27 km northeast of Würzburg.
Schweinfurt's main landmarks include: the Renaissance Town Hall (1570-1572), the church of St. Johannes (1554-1562) and the Old Grammar School, seat of the local museum
The Museum Georg Schäfer specializes in 19th-century paintings by artists from German-speaking countries.
The Schweinfurter Rathaus (town hall) square has a large Friedrich Rückert monument in the centre, around which weekly markets and many city festivals are held.
The Motherwell Park connects the surrounding medieval buildings to the inner-city market square. To avoid car-filled streets, walking through the park with part of the original city walls offers paths and shortcuts, bringing one on foot from one end of town to another, reminiscent of medieval town life.

Tag 28: 1.147 km habe ich geschafft und weiter gehts nach Göppingen in Baden-Württemberg. Ich übernachte heute bei Lena und Ian. Die Zwei wollen bald heiraten und planen dafür etwas ganz Besonderes: Sie wollen eine Jurte selbst bauen.

Day 28: I drove 1.147 kilometers and made it to Göppingen in Baden-Württemberg. I found a place to sleep at Ian and Lena's place who are building a yurt for their wedding.

Panorama über Geislingen. Aufnahme entstand auf dem 660m hohen Tegelberg.
Geislingen an der Steige ist eine Stadt in Baden-Württemberg, im Südosten der Region Stuttgart etwa 15 km südöstlich von Göppingen bzw. 27 km nordwestlich von Ulm. Sie ist nach der Kreisstadt Göppingen die zweitgrößte Stadt des Landkreises Göppingen und bildet ein Mittelzentrum für die umliegenden Gemeinden.
Geislingen an der Steige ist seit 1956 mit Inkrafttreten der baden-württembergischen Gemeindeordnung Große Kreisstadt. Mit den Gemeinden Bad Überkingen und Kuchen hat Geislingen eine Verwaltungsgemeinschaft vereinbart.
