Kirchheim unter Teck is a town in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, in the district of Esslingen. It is located on the small river Lauter, a tributary of the Neckar. It is 10 km near the Teck castle, approximately 35 kilometres southeast of Stuttgart. It is the fourth city in the Esslingen district, forming a district centre for the surrounding communities. Since 1 April 1956, Kirchheim unter Teck has the status of Große Kreisstadt. The city forms a Verwaltungsgemeinschaft with the neighbouring municipalities Dettingen and Notzingen. Kirchheim unter Teck was also, for several centuries, seat of the Oberamt Kirchheim.

The Speyer Cathedral, officially the Imperial Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption and St Stephen, in Latin: Domus sanctae Mariae Spirae in Speyer, Germany, is the seat of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Speyer and is suffragan to the Archdiocese of Bamberg. The cathedral, which is dedicated to St. Mary, patron saint of Speyer and St. Stephen is generally known as Kaiserdom zu Speyer . Pope Pius XI raised Speyer Cathedral to the rank of a minor basilica of the Roman Catholic Church in 1925. Begun in 1030 under Konrad II, with the east end and high vault of 1090–1103, the imposing triple-aisled vaulted basilica of red sandstone is the culmination of a design which was extremely influential in the subsequent development of Romanesque architecture during the 11th and 12th centuries. FRANKFURT - STUTTGART - BAYREUTH - KIRCHHEIM - Germany in 10 Days

During my 10-day stay in Germany during Winter break, I saw most beautiful sceneries and experienced the Christmas atmosphere at the Stuttgart Christmas Market. Just before the trip ended, we had a look at a historical place: Mödlareuth. The town, once nicknamed “Little Berlin”, was split in half during the cold war, keeping the citizens on either side operated for 37 years. Today, the museum “Deutsch-Deutsches Museum” features vehicles from the Soviet and American army, as well as many preserved objects from that time.
