Schramberg is a town in the district of Rottweil, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated in the eastern Black Forest, 25 km northwest of Rottweil. With all of its districts , it has about 22,000 inhabitants. One of the streams flowing through the Schramberg valley is the Schiltach. The Bach na Fahrt, a traditional raft race held on Carnival Monday, is known far and wide and attracts up to 30,000 spectators each year.

The Speyer Cathedral, officially the Imperial Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption and St Stephen, in Latin: Domus sanctae Mariae Spirae in Speyer, Germany, is the seat of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Speyer and is suffragan to the Archdiocese of Bamberg. The cathedral, which is dedicated to St. Mary, patron saint of Speyer and St. Stephen is generally known as Kaiserdom zu Speyer . Pope Pius XI raised Speyer Cathedral to the rank of a minor basilica of the Roman Catholic Church in 1925. Begun in 1030 under Konrad II, with the east end and high vault of 1090–1103, the imposing triple-aisled vaulted basilica of red sandstone is the culmination of a design which was extremely influential in the subsequent development of Romanesque architecture during the 11th and 12th centuries. STREET VIEW: Ruine Hohenschramberg im Schwarzwald in GERMANY

Bei meinem ersten Rundgang durch Schramberg sah ich auch die Ruine Hohenschramberg. Allerdings war bei meinen ersten Besuch in Schramberg keine Zeit mehr zum Aufstieg zur Burg. Beim zweiten Anlauf suchte ich einen kürzeren Weg zur Burg, aber der offizielle Weg zur Burg war gesperrt. Die Umleitung war recht abenteuerlich und weit. Aber das Ziel hat den langen Umweg wieder wett gemacht. Die Burganlage ist beeindruckend und der Ausblick gigantisch.
