  • 1. Amy Gillett Bikeway Oakbank
    The Amy Gillett Bikeway or Amy Gillett Rail Trail is a shared path in the Adelaide Hills on part of the alignment of the former Mount Pleasant railway line. It is a 17 kilometres sealed path suitable for recreational cycling, walking and horse riding. Stage 1 was opened in January 2010 by Patrick Conlon, then the South Australian Minister for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure. Stage 1 extended 4 kilometres between Oakbank and Woodside. Stage 2 extended it through Charleston and Stage 3 opened in May 2014 added 7 kilometres to Mount Torrens. Future work could extend it another 15 kilometres through Birdwood to Mount Pleasant. There are also several side loop trails available to interesting destinations off the main path.

    The Adelaide Park Lands are the figure-eight of land spanning both banks of the River Torrens between Hackney and Thebarton and separating the City of Adelaide from the surrounding suburbia of greater Metropolitan Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia. They were laid out by Colonel William Light in his design for the city, and originally consisted of 2,300 acres exclusive of 32 acres for a public cemetery.     The Jack Bobridge Track is a 27 kilometres shared walking and cycling path in the Barossa Valley in South Australia. It is named after Jack Bobridge, who grew up in the area.The Jack Bobridge Track is not technically a rail trail as the Barossa Valley railway line which was still operating at the time. Parts of the track are constructed adjacent to the railway line, however it is not on the railway formation so has more undulations than a true rail trail would have. One part is away from both the railway and main road and also has sharper corners than would be expected on a rail trail.

    The Stuart O'Grady Bikeway is a 23 kilometres shared path in the northern suburbs of Adelaide, following the eastern side of the Max Fatchen Expressway. The northeastern end is adjacent to the on ramp from Two Wells Road to the Gawler Bypass Road. The southwestern end is adjacent to Port Wakefield Road. It is named after Stuart O'Grady.

    The Mawson Trail is a long-distance cycling trail in South Australia starting just east of Adelaide in the Adelaide Hills and extending almost 900 kilometres to Blinman in the Flinders Ranges. It is suitable for mountain bikes.The Mawson Trail traverses remote areas of the Mount Lofty and Flinders Ranges, mostly away from bitumen roads, and often off-road on tracks and unmade road or forest reserves. It also passes through a number of country towns. It starts at the upstream end of the Torrens Linear Park on Gorge Road, leading into the Adelaide Hills. BikeSA hosts a guided two-week tour of the entire length every second year.The trail is named after explorer Douglas Mawson.

    The Rattler Rail Trail is a 19 km rail trail which joins onto the southern end of the Riesling Trail at Auburn, South Australia. Following the route of the former Spalding railway line, the trail takes its name from the rattling old train that used to ply the route. The Rattler Rail Trail passes through farming land as it wends its way to Riverton via Rhynie. Bike hire is available in the town of Auburn. The Riesling Trail and Rattler Trail combine to create a walking/cycling trail over 50 kilometres in length, through the heart of the Clare Valley wine region and the rich farming land of the Mid North of South Australia, giving a unique and rewarding experience.
