Weikersheim is a town in the Main-Tauber district, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated on the river Tauber, 9 km east of Bad Mergentheim, Weikersheim is the location of the famous castle Schloss Weikersheim. Bronn, Elpersheim, Haagen, Honsbronn, Laudenbach, Nassau, Neubronn, Queckbronn, Oberndorf and Schäftersheim belong to Weikersheim.

The picturesque Baroque town of Würzburg is located on the River Main amid the Franconian wine region and is dominated by the mighty Marienberg Fortress. The Celts created a fortress that subsequent rulers gradually extended and the oldest church in Franconia, including a massive watchtower, continues to be protected by several huge walls. Tauberbischofsheim is one of the oldest cities in the popular Tauber Valley that was once completely walled. Missionary bishop, Boniface, founded Germany’s first women's monastery in Germany in 735 A.D. and installed a family member, Lioba, as abbess, who tutored the daughters of the nobility and the Free Francs. Rothenburg ob der Tauber is where Germany’s Middle Ages have been preserved up to the present day with huge entrance gates and high walls that lead into the former imperial city.
In 1868, Bavarian King Ludwig The Second had a dream come true in Allgäu, southern Germany: Castle Neuschwanstein, the realisation of his amazing world of fantasy.
This fairytale castle was in construction for seventeen years and in every way the idyll of ancient German knighthood.
