Granite Island, also known by the Ramindjeri people as Nulcoowarra, is a small island next to Victor Harbor, South Australia, about 80 km south of South Australia's capital city, Adelaide. It is a popular tourist attraction, particularly for people wishing to see little penguins which live there. The Flinders Ranges are the largest mountain range in South Australia, which starts about 200 km north of Adelaide. The discontinuous ranges stretch for over 430 km from Port Pirie to Lake Callabonna.Its most characteristic landmark is Wilpena Pound, a large, sickle-shaped, natural amphitheatre that covers 80 km2 , and contains the range's highest peak, St Mary Peak which adjoins the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park. Stokes Bay is a bay in South Australia on the northern coast of Kangaroo Island located about 38 kilometres west of the town of Kingscote. It is described as being the largest of a number of coves located along the coast between Cape Dutton about 3 nautical miles to the west and Cape Cassini about 7 nautical miles to the east.
